During the past year, the Class of 1946 represented the College at the following academic ceremonies: Tom Cochran at the inauguration of Dolphus Witten Jr. as president of Oklahoma City University, September 21 in Oklahoma City; JimWyckoff at the in auguration of Allan A. Kuusisto as president of Hobart and William Smith Colleges, in Geneva, N. Y.; Willard Wyeth at Worcester Polytechnic Institute for the inauguration of George W. Hazzard as president on October 27; MelJohnson at the inauguration of John H. Allen as president of Centenary College in Shreveport on October 21; Reverend PaulBarnes at Gorden College and Divinity School on October 22 in Boston for the installation of Harold J. Ockenga as president and Fred Garfield of Bristol, Va., at the inauguration of Charles G. Mingledorff as president of Emory & Henry College in Emory, Va., on April 24.

Bob Case was recently appointed manager of General Electric's utilities operations in Schenectady. Bob, Mary Frances, and their five children live in Scotia, a suburb of Schenectady. He has been with GE since graduation. He has been active in many civic, political, and military activities in the area, having been, among many outside activities, republican town chairman of Granville, a Lieutenant Colonel in the New York National Guard, and chairman of the United Fund Drive in Schenectady.

Paul Bristol was recently named state manager in charge of all agency and brokerage operations in the State of Vermont for Monarch Life Insurance Company. He is based in Burlington, where the Bristols and their five children also live. Paul is a past president of the Vermont YMCA and state Chamber of Commerce and is active in many business, civic and cultural organizations.

International Paper Company announced the formation of a new executive committee of its board of directors. Jud Hannigan, who is vice president-manufacturing and a director of the company, is one of the distinguished members of this committee.

John Emery, president of Emery Air Freight was recently elected to a six-year term as a trustee of Manhattan College. In addition to being a director and chief executive officer of Emery, John is the past president of the Sales Executive Club of New York, a director of The Robbins Co. of Attleboro, Mass., Intermodal Transportation Systems of New York, Investors Funding Corporation, and an advisory board member of the Chemical Bank in New York.

The American College of Radiology recently honored Dr. David Stephenson for his outstanding work in medicine and for his contributions to radiology by naming him a Fellow of the association. David, a graduate of the University of Colorado Medical School, is affiliated with the Lutheran Medical Center and Denver General Hospitals.

The Westport, Conn., advertising firm of Wilson & Ryan, formed in 1968, became Wilson, Ryan & Leigh, Inc., recently when Doug Leigh joined the firm as a principal. Doug was formerly a creative vice president with William Esty Co., in New York and before that was head of the art department of McManus, John & Adams, also in New York. He left the Esty Company in 1969 to do free-lance advertising. Doug and his wife, the former Nancy Wheelwright, live on Tobacco Road in Weston, Conn, with their children Diane, 11 and Doug III 7

Aloise J. Lupa has joined the J. C. Campbell Co., a forest products firm in Duluth, as manager of operations. After graduation, Al received his master's degree in forest management from Yale. He has had broad experience in the forest products and land management fields while associated with Potlatch Forests Inc. and Georgia Pacific Corp, and is currently chairman of the Softwood Lumber Committee of the Northern Hardwood and Pine Manufacturers Association.

This winds up the regular business of the year. The July issue of the ALUMNIMAGAZINE will carry a special report of the events of the 25th reunion. For once, news will be plentiful and for all those who cannot be in Hanover in person, it should make for interesting reading.
