Ken Thomas writes from Atlanta where he and Sara have settled, and where he is practicing in cardiac and chest surgery with a group of four other surgeons. Ken reminds us that he is a veteran of two wars, having served in North Africa and Vietnam. He mentions having seen Curt Jones several times at airport reunions; but, in a note from Westbury, Long Island, TonyRichter starts off by saying that he hasn't seen a classmate in years. Hard to believe coming from an insurance man, except that he works on new products development as Group Actuary with New York Life rather than writing life policies. Tony and Kathy with children David, age eight, and Susan, six, are doing fine and offer the report that the service on the L.I.R.R. is looking up after the torment it visited upon the commuter three years ago. That's the only good word for the city in this mailbag.

Rick Webb has been named marketing manager for the Transistor Operations of the Sprague Electric Company in Concord, N. H. Pete Conroy checked in with the simple message that he is alive, working, and still drinking beer. I guess that means he is still lawyering in Hartford, too. From Billings, Mont., David Klein wonders why anyone would want to live anywhere else. Dave is practicing general surgery and after six years in Billings is sounding like the chamber of commerce in recruiting hew residents. Gretchen, age 11, and Peter, seven, are thriving as well. Stating no return address of his own, John Cole indicates that for him, keeping track of SandyHeath's address is a full time job. KendallLink is creating radio and TV spots for Telerad. This is in connection with the council for television and radio in South Central Pennsylvania for Christian Churches on a volunteer basis, and additional to being pastor of Colonial Park United Church of Christ, and vice president of Harrisburg Association of the United Church of Christ. John Wetzel has four children after ten years of marriage, and after a similar time period in teaching, he is active in a community effort to redefine the goals and restructure the institution in public education. John is living in Bridgeport and asks for information on innovations particularly having to do with the open classroom and performance based evaluation of teachers.

Eastman Kodak has appointed FrankStrong a pricing director for corporate photographic pricing. Frank began with the company in the industrial engineering division at Kodak Park and transferred to the main office in 1964. The Strongs live in Fairport, N. Y., from which headquarters Frank has served the Class on the executive committee and as Class Agent. In the Dartmouth Club of Rochester he has been treasurer, vice president, and president.

Stu Warren shares some news in a welcome and cheerful note. Stu is Chief of Pediatrics at the Philadelphia General Hospital and describes his department with 65 beds and 40,000 outpatients annually as being small by city hospital standards. There are ten residents and six interns as well as students from all four years from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. The Warrens have three children and a prize-winning Great Pyrenee.

Next month you can expect to see a report from Line Spaulding on a whole variety of things, particularly the minireunion and other class activities. By then I'll be back in Algeria for the third time this year and we'll all be into the holiday season. Until January.
