M.D. Paul Simel has been practicing ophthalmology in Greensboro, N. C., for the ten years since the Army released him from its clutches. (Trivia: To the best of my knowledge, we have three classmates who are ophthalmologists; and two of them practice in North Carolina.) Paul keeps physically fit by playing squash and keeps in tune with the Hanover scene by interviewing applicants for admission. His family consists of wife Faye and four children: three boys—David, 16; Bruce, 13; and Mark, 12—and one girl, Dana, 11. Paul would like to see classmates who have occasion to be in, or pass through, Greensboro.

That's what he's been doing professionally since December 1957, by which time he had almost four year's service in the Air Force and law school under his belt. He has advised local citizens' groups and been active in the Jewish community. He recently completed a two-year term as president of his congregation and is now chairman of its board of trustees. He and wife Leila have two daughters: Sara, 13; and Rachel, 11.

He returned to PPG in 1955 as a sales representative in Boston and later served as New York branch manager. In 1961, Frank went to company headquarters in Pittsburgh, Pa., as assistant manager for operations of the Merchandising Division. Mark Cole is vice president of The Aims Group, Inc., New York based financial consultants for high tax bracket executives and professionals. Business takes him to such places as Minneapolis, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Cleveland, where he would like to see classmates, as well as in New York.
Mark bemoans the fact that moving and business trips kept him away from all of last fall's football games. He writes, "The games are about the only time that I get to see quantities of familiar faces, and that alone is worth the price of admission." He, wife Margaret; Catherine, 14; Carole, 12; Marc, 9; and Diane, 7, now reside in Fairfield, Conn., less than a mile from Exit 22 of the Connecticut Turnpike.

If you looked closely at the two photos on page 41 of the November Alumni Mag, you' saw Jack Berggren's picture twice. Both the captioned one and smaller one in the "Alumni Clubs" logo showed Dart- mouth gatherings in Oslo, Norway. If you look closely at the banner in the latter, you will note that something has been blacked out. That something was "1951." Shame on you, Charlie Widmayer, for not giving '51 spirit and loyalty due credit.
Jack is manager of Eastman Kodak's Norwegian subsidiary, Kodak Norge A/S. He writes: "While not in the lofty reaches of Al Karcher, we do sell a lot of little yellow boxes each year and produce locally millions of color prints. Our two children are attending Norwegian schools, and my wife is a Cub Scout den mother for 15 neighborhood towheads."
Every fall the College publishes a booklet listing men with key jobs in various alumni organizations. 1951 has three, one of the largest representations, on the Alumni Council: Howie Phillips, Judge JimRogers, and Professor Frank Smallwood. Frank is also alumni representative on the Board of Overseers of the Hanover Inn.
The Judge's name appears the largest number of times of classmates because he is also District Enrollment Director for Minnesota, reporting to himself as Area Enrollment Director, and Liaison Officer between the Dartmouth Alumni Association of the Northwest and the enrollment organization. Milt Olander wears the same three hats as DED for Southern California, AED, and LO for the Dartmouth Club of Southern California.
Other DED's are Ken Little, Minute Man and Suasco Clubs. Mass.; "Wes"Hanington, Maryland; Dr. Bill Michener, New Mexico; Pete Bogardus, San Francisco-Northern California; and Dr.Rog Shannon, Northern Idaho and Eastern Washington. Wally Bush, Minneapolis, is one of three alumni members of the Dartmouth College Athletic Council.
As for local alumni club officers, apart from the above-mentioned LO's, the class is particularly strong in Connecticut, where "Sandy" McDonald is President of Darien-Norwalk: Bob Hopkins, President, and Hank Sanders, Secretary, of Fairfield County; Dr. Bob Sirkin, President and LO of New Britain; and Dick Dutton, Secretary of Waterbury. Joe McDonald is President of Palm Beach, Fla.; and BillTerry, Secretary of Bergen County, N. J.
