A note from "Nip" Hoernel informing us that he is still teaching science at West Babylon High School in Long Island. Also continuing his education, received his M.A. degree in June of '69 from Adelphi University. Nip has a son Paul getting ready for college next fall- final selection still uncertain. Unfortunately, his wife Connie was in an automobile accident in November, but is recovering nicely now, and we extend our best wishes for a complete and speedy recovery.

Back to the Wilmington, Del., area where we hear that John B. Campbell II, chairman of the board at Mannington Mills and a member of the YMCA board of trustees, is serving as general chairman of the "Y" campaign to raise one million dollars and which will involve over 500 volunteers. John, who lives with his family in Mannington, is a member of the board of trustees of the First Presbyterian Church of Salem and a member of the board of managers of Salem County Memorial Hospital. Mary Nordstrom drops us a note on behalf of Everett who is currently director of development at the New Hampton School in New Hampshire. His son, Rusty, is now representing the family in the United States Navy and soloed with the United States Navy Bluejacket Choir while at boot camp this past year. It seems that Rusty is following in his father's footsteps, who with Jack Kellstrand used to provide entertainment for us at Hanover many years ago.
Rube Samuels is giving up a seat on the Paramus, N. J., Board of Education after 12 years of service. He promised his wife, Diane after election to his fourth term that it would be his last, and she's made him keep his promise. It is understandable, in light of the fact that he has attended about 1500 board meetings in his dozen years and recorded about 750 man days of work or three work years solely on school board business. He says he'll miss it, but plans to fill his time with an expansion of interest in mountain climbing. Rube plans to climb the Matterhorn this summer. He thinks it might be easier than serving on the school board. In addition, he intends to become more involved in professional societies connected with his work as vice-president and chief engineer of a construction firm. Rube and Diane live with their two children at 195 Harvard Place in Paramus. Be sure to take a picture on the top of Matterhorn, Rube, and send it to us for next year's ALUMNI MAGAZINE.
By this time, you have all received a questionnaire sent out by the executive committee. If you haven't already taken a few minutes to answer this, we wish you would do so, as we are anxious to get to know ourselves and our class feelings as much as possible as we approach the 25th reunion year.
