Charles Stromeyer's lovely wife Mimsey writes that Charles is now a postdoctoral fellow in the psychology department at Stanford. In his spare time, Charles is practicing the art of fatherhood upon Charles Francis IV, who arrived in March.

'64s great compromiser, Henry Clay, has been serving as executive secretary of the Massachusetts Governor's Executive Council since January 31. Henry lives in West Newbury.

Speaking of '64 Massachusetts notables, Worcester School Board member Al Cotton has been named public relations manager for the Norton Company in Worcester. Among Al's many civic involvements has been a stint as a community advisor to the Worcester County Jail and House of Correction.

Wilmer Faiist rates a cheer for his Master's degree in Regional Planning which he earned recently at Penn State.

Give a Rouse is also in order for PeteFrench, who has joined the list of '64 authors with the publication in February of his fine, scholarly work, John Dee, TheWorld, of an Elizabethan Magus. Pete did the research for his book at the Claremont Graduate School, the University of Dijon, and at the University of London's Institute of Historical Research. Dee was one of the most celebrated men of the Elizabethan age, and Pete's book reflects his significant impact on Renaissance thought.

Bill Barnet and Sandy McGinnes report that our class has contributed $200 to Dartmouth's Jersey City Program. The College will apply these monies toward the purchase of two manual typewriters and several cassette recorders to aid in the Program's efforts in adult education and in a special academic program for high school students. Our contribution to the Jersey City Program came from a portion of the monies collected for class dues.

John Timbers reports the addition of yet another twig to the Timber grove with the birth of Meredith Maclachlan Timbers on January 28. Mother and daughter are reportedly doing fine.

Pete Luitwieler is the proud father of yet another son, Curt. Marlene has now blessed him with 40 per cent of that hockey team he's been talking about. SandyShapiro and I joined the Luitwielers last month for a nostalgic farewell brew in honor of Pete's promotion to Far East Coordinator for Gulf Oil, and his transfer to Pittsburgh. The Miami Rugby Club was saddened by Pete's departure, but their tape and liniment fund is now out of danger.

That's all the news there is in the bag. Please take a moment to drop me a line.
