It is hard to imagine the schlump season in Hanover without duckboards stretching across the campus, always ready to splash an unsuspecting traveller, but I understand they have gone the way of Tanzi's and Fletcher's. But 14 years ago. who could imagine that Dartmouth would be coed today. Anyway may your own schlump season be a short one.

My fortunes are abundant this month thanks to Newsletter Editor Chris Cundey who has shared his hoard of news with me, for which I am grateful - I hope you are too.

Warren Dechter writes "Having spent last two and one half years in London, moved to Midwest (Chicago) in April. Am now with Quaker Oats Co., known as a Cereal Co. but in fact a one billion dollar conglomerate. See Ed Ephraim in N.Y. from time to time and saw a whole group of '59s at Bill Sherman's wedding in Sugarbush, Vt. July 4th weekend. That's a story in itself, but I let Bill tell it, if he dares. Saw a lot of Lou Gerber in England and had dinner with him and Bev in Westport recently. My wife (Heide - married three yrs. - German girl) and I are trying toad- just to the Midwest after the olde world charm of London. Hope to return to live there some da) Travelled extensively when we were there (Europe, Africa, etc.) and loved every minute of it."

The F.B.I, transferred Frank Waldburge to Washington, D.C., last March, which apparently allowed him to break radio silence. Frank joined the Bureau in 1962 after finishing lowa University Law School. He married Ann Oliver, an Illinois girl, he points out, which must have son-Midwestern He regrets not having been able to stay in touch with the class so if any of you live in the Springfield, Va., area, be sure and look Frank up.

Bob Sands has also come out of hiding to say that after three and a half years in Cambridge Mass. and one child, Caroline, age 2, he and his wife moved to Washington, D.C., to work with the Office of Minority Business Enterprise, concentrating appropriately enough, on develop small business within American Indian Comunities.

Ellie and Bruce Andrews and their three kids have been living in Norwalk, Conn., for the past four years where he continues as a sales manager for Westvaco Corp. He reports seeing MikeCronin and Fhil Swaim recently who tend legal practices in Old Saybrook and New Canaan, respectively.

The best way to include Don "Zip" Adams' contribution to this volumn is to quote it, for I can't put it any better. "Living in beautiful Penna. (405 Blacklatch Lane, Camp Hil). Wife Margaret and four children (Sarah, Clark, Peter and Janie). With Reynolds & Reynolds Co. See John and Bev Burkhardt frequently (John heads up Republican Finance Committee for Penna.) Any sign of Dick Netland, Fred Davidson, Pete Stearns???" Ok, you three, come on out and drop Zip a line. Fred, are vou still in Brussels.

' News from Madison Avenue is the promotion of Doug Wise to senior vice president of The Marshalk Company, Inc., an advertising agency which forms a part of the Interpublic Group. Doug has account responsibility for the Foods Division of Coca-Cola (Hi-C Fruit Drinks and Minute Maid) and Goodyear International Corp., as well as being chairman of the company's Management Advisory Committee. And being the masochist that he is - remember the nut in the loincloth - Doug is running the advertising campaign for a candidate for comptroller of New YHork City. Good Luck, Doug.

Dr. Bob Danielson recently moved to Shaker Heights, Ohio where he, Brenda and their four daughters expect to stay for the next few years at least. Bob is an assistant professor of surgery at University Hospital in Cleveland, with a clinical specialty in renal transplants.

The Class is saddened to hear of the death of DaveTrumbuil in April, 1971. Details will appear in the obituary section this month or next.

Dr. Larry Purcell is one of the urologists in a 30-man clinic in Bluffton, Ind., and he reports that their second son Gregory was born last October.

And Harry Jeffrey says "Lois (Berkeley '64) and 1 have bought a house in the artist colony of Laguna Beach (2065 San Remo Drive, ZIP 92651). Lois has been appointed to the City Planning Commission, and supervises student teachers at California State University, Fullerton. I am a history professor there, and director of the Richard Nixon Oral History (tape recordings) Project. Like my wife, I am active in Laguna Beach civic affairs; founder and first president of the Historical Society; officer in the Civic League and Coordinating Council; chairman of the City's Historical Preservation Committee; and active in a seashore planning group, the Coastal Development Liaison Committee."
