The mildest of Januarys in some time is nearing its end here in the Northeast. Nary a flake has fallen which must be some sort of record. Even worse, the ice skating has been non-existant except for one brief week earlier in the month. However. I have been able to improvise my exercise schedule by playing 18 holes of golf several times this winter and some of my more adventurous friends have been seen on the outdoor tennis courts. As we all know, the astronauts' landings on the moon have been the cause of this situation.

I received a nice note from Hoby Millington who commutes to his job at Philip Morris from Westport. Hoby has been at Philip Morris for seven years, the last IB months as special assistant to the president. He and his wife are the parents of a two-year-old daughter.

Gail and Lois Warden are out in Illinois where Gail is executive vice president for operations at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago. Lois informs us that Gail will receive a national award from the American College of Hospital Administrators in late February. The "Young Hospital Administrator of the Year" award is given annually to someone under the age of 35. Meanwhile, Lois administers to the needs of their two young children at their Homewood home.

John Youle is still with the Foreign Service and currently is chief, economic and commercial section at the American consulate in Naples. Sounds like nice duty. Steve Larson is in his third year of OB-GYN practice in Minneapolis. Steve and Cindy have four children but have decided to call it quits since the last birth was a set of twins. The Larsons have just moved to a large house at "Christmas Lake" in Excelsior and would welcome a visit from any classmate who might be passing through town.

Rick Roesch has been with First National City Bank in Thailand for the past two years, but spent part of last summer in the U.S. after visiting Russia, India and Kenya. After having lunch in Bangkok with Walt Fogarty '59, Rick found a box of files in his car ana a note stating that he was the new secretary for the Dartmouth Club of Thailand. Which goes to prove that nobody in a military country believes in elections.

John and DeDe Passeggio are residing in Hewlett, Long Island, where John is practicing dentistry. He has also been elected treasurer of the Rockaway Dental Society and spends his leisure time sailing aboard the "Apollonia." I'm told that she is the patron saint of dentistry but I'm not sure that I have spelled it correctly.

Bernie and Cynthia Doe arrived in Tuscon last fall where Bernie is attending the University of Arizona for one year to get an M.A. in Oriental Studies. Bernie is a participant in the Army's Foreign Area Specialty Program and expects to be reassigned to Taiwan this summer. The Does are parents of two young sons.

The Mullett family of Summit, N.J., has reorganized its top management structure by replacing the former mom and dad positions with a single parent positioning personned by Heatherand Rory. The reorganization was put into effect as part of an Affirmative Action Program and to provide greater flexibility. Rory is Labor Relations Counsel for American Smelting and Refining and Heather is an associate in the Newark law firm of Carpenter, Bennett and Morrissey.

Skip Snyder has just been promoted to vice president, trust department, Commercial National Bank in Peoria. Sarah, at nine the oldest of the four Snyder girls, has her heart set on Dartmouth. Bill McCarter has become a member of the Boston law firm of Warner & Stackpole. RussBrooks has become a member of the New York law firm of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy.

Most of the news in this column came from notes written on the backs of the Class dues forms which Tom Brock has faithfully been sending to me on a regular basis. Keep those card and letters coming in, and use the dues form if you are so inclined.
