John McCauley checks in with the latest: "Have returned to Wilmington, Del, home office of DuPont, after nine years in Chicago. Still with plastics department, now in personnel work with emphasis on recruiting good engineers for sales work. Right now trying to buy a new home though all markets are moving in wrong direction at this time. We will miss Glenview, Ill., but are pleased to be back nearer Hanover for reunion purposes. Barbara and three children (age 10, 12, 14) are adjusting well."

Nick Sandoe is the new director of development at Pilgrim Place, Claremont, Calif., a religious and cultural retirement center where 300 ministers, missionaries, and other Christian workers live. Nick had previously been director of development and annual giving at Harvey Mudd College and director of development and public affairs at Claremont University Center.

"We moved back to Candia, N.H., after be- ing away for nearly 30 years" writes WinSargeant. "Have joined Corporate Personnel Consultants, Inc. of Concord, specializing in executive search, professional placement, and personnel management consulting." Win had previously been director of employee and industrial relations for BASF Wyandotte Corp., Parsippany, N.J., an industrial chemical manufacturer.

The Detroit Free Press recently ran a column concerning Bill Merrill, who, as last month's '45 news pointed out, was the prosecutor in the John Erlichman case. Bill is quoted as saying: "We must keep in mind that it (our system of government) doesn't work automatically. This time it worked only because there were enough people who cared enough to protect the rights of individuals." To which we all can echo "thank goodness." The column goes on to report that Bill is leaving Washington to return to the private practice of law in the Detroit area.

The annual push for '45 dues is on - remember that this huge sum of $12.50 goes toward the expenses of the '45 memorial award to undergraduates, the distribution of the Alumni Magazine, a 30th Reunion kitty and minimal miscellaneous class expense. Where else do you get so much for so little!?

Bob Kugel, writes "I accepted the position of vice president for health sciences at the University of New Mexico during July, 1974. As such, my responsibilities include coordinating the school of medicine, college of nursing, college of pharmacy, and allied health programs at the university. In addition I have the responsibility of coordinating activities in Bernalillo County Medical Center which is the principal teaching hospital for the medical school. All such ventures as this are complex but offer some unusual opportunities to bring the several disciplines together. We look forward to getting better acquainted with New Mexico. It certainly has many fascinating aspects about it."
