The Dartmouth community was saddened by the death of Mrs. Lois Jeremiah on March 12. Mrs. Jeremiah, widow of hockey coach Eddie Jeremiah, died at Mary Hitchcock Hospital in. Hanover after a long illness.

An announcement was made in late March regarding a revision in the schedule format for Ivy League football, beginning with the 1976 season. The most significant change involves a shift in the opening date from the last Saturday in September to the preceding Saturday. The nine-game schedule will remain, but Ivy teams will open against league opponents rather than non-league opposition. The changes will not affect the 1974 or 1975 schedules.

The captains elected in four sports for the 1974-75 winter season are Dan McKay from North Quincy, Mass., in basketball; Peter Quinn from Chateauguay, Que., in hockey; Sandy Tierney from Marblehead, Mass., in squash; and co-captains John LeMoal from New Canaan, Conn., and Mark Stebbins from Manchester, N.H., in swimming. Stebbins will be a junior, the others will be seniors.
