Jack Thompson gets top billing this time as the busiest retiree of the month. The clipping is from the Westfield, N.J. Suburban News:

"Donald R. Pitti, president of Wiesenberger Services, announced today that John F. Thompson of Westfield has joined the staff of the newly formed Wiesenberger Corporate Pension Executives Institute as a consultant. In this capacity, Mr. Thompson will also serve as consultant to Ken Brunke, executive director, and will also be a member of the Advisory Board assisting in programs and policy decisions.

"From 1958 to his retirement last year, Mr Thompson was director of the Pension Fund Administration at AT&T. His responsibilities included coordination of investment operations of all Bell System pension funds (over $10 billion in 1973). Mr. Thompson was with AT&T for 44 years.

"In January 1974 Mr. Thompson entered into a part-time contract as financial advisor to the $2.6 billion Public School Employee's Retirement Fund of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

"Mr. Thompson attended Dartmouth College where he was graduated magna cum lande and Phi Beta Kappa, and received his Master's in Business Administration from Tuck."

Another of our retirees is enjoying life in Aspen, in the best ski country there is CarlSiegesmund. He retired about a year ago from New York City and still goes back from time to time on consulting work with the Rockefellers. As a regular inhabitant of the Rockies he can afford to wait for ideal skiing conditions before putting on the boards. To judge by the weather during my week in Aspen in January, that would be about five winter days out of six - temperature 28 degrees and no wind at 11,000 feet, bright sun, and several inches of fluffy new powder snow over a good base. Happy skiing Carl!

A note from Bill Marmion in Arcadia, Calif.

"Between work, golf, and an occasional trip Lucile and I are still very busy and enjoying good health. We took three of our grandchildren to Hawaii recently and are still convalescing!"

And Ed Felch from Chatham, N.Y.:

"Retired from Bell Labs upon our return from the Pacific a year ago. Have been busy enough with a half-time consulting contract with IBM. We spend most of our leisure improving our retreat at Lake Shehawken, Pa., but are in Chatham quite a bit among our Micronesian mementos.'

Good news comes from Art Rose in Belmont, Mass.:

"Since Reunion '73 I have had my aortic aneurysm corrected in a virtuoso performance by my surgeon at New England Medical Center. Fabulous! Carrying merely a stable 159 pounds now, my bicycling comes easy.

"Our son (and my fraternity brother) Ron '52 was assigned a year ago to Plasma Physics at Princeton for fusion energy development. Ron is associated with Westinghouse."

Bob Leigh reports no news from DeLand, Fla., but adds:

"Just working hard selling real estate and enjoying it."

Our Class and the College suffered a real loss in January when Bill Wheaton died in Barre, Vt. Our deep sympathy goes to his family.

Word of another tragedy has just come from Herb Ball:

"I was lunching last Friday at Oscar's Delmonico two short blocks from Fraunces Tavern - so was Chick Sherburne but in the Anglers Club. When I emerged from lunch at 1:30 the excitement from the blast and the noise of some 30 ambulances and numerous police cars and fire engines was deafening.

"Although I was luckier than Sherburne, it could have been Delmonico's Restaurant, which like the Anglers Club, was "Establishment." Sherburne and I were in the Press Club at Dartmouth - we wrote for metropolitan N.Y. and Boston papers. I saw him occasionally in N.Y. at Dartmouth affairs. He is in the Aegis with our Class, although he sometimes claimed 1930."
