A Wah-Hoo-Wah to Dr. and Mrs. Charles T.Powers, who were honored in July for 1400 hours of volunteer service to the hospital in Laconia, N.H., dating back to 1968. A scholarship is to be awarded for 1977 to a nursing student at St. Anselm's College in Manchester, N.H., in honor of Charles and Florence.

Lew Warren reports from Bismarck, N.D., that he has recently recovered from a bout with pneumonia and, except for the fact that he no longer drives his car, is enjoying old age. He would like to hear from some of his classmates, not just the secretary. Address: 205 North 2nd Street, zip code 58501. Sanford Petts, who spent his freshman year in Hanover, not only passed up our reunion but showed no favoritism and missed his 65th at Harvard too. Dutch Waterbury left the final reunion gathering at Quechee Lakes Club in such haste that he left his hat behind. (Who wears such a thing these days?) It was sent to him while he was visiting in Stamford, Conn. Ted Brewster, our honorary member of 1912, sent word after the reunion telling how much both he and his father, JohnD., enjoyed the get-together in Hanover. Even though John at 86 is the youngest member of the Class now, he does very little traveling, but with Ted's help he was able to make the trip.

Bishop Brown's letter of June I was read during the reunion at the business meeting, but others will enjoy it. "I am still well and moving about in this wilderness of world discontent. What a world!" He goes on to tell us of the worst depression that part of the world has ever known before with thousands unemployed, starving, and no relief in sight. With a reference to the fighting to the north in Rhodesia he ends on a happy note and says he is glad to be alive.

We have heard from many of our widows, several of whom were able to attend the reunion. Jo Adams expected to be on hand but was prevented by the illness of her daughter. Three bright spots enhanced our 65th. One. was Katherine Snow, looking well after a recent illness and navigating with only one cane. Another was Dorothy Shapleigh back to her normal weight and enjoying old friendships. The third was Katy Baker so happy to have been able with the help of friends to join us. These and several others kept the old spirit of 1912 fresh and rewarding.
