On behalf of bequest chairman Leon B.Farley, the bequest office has reported that the estate of Walter John Lane, who died in June 1976, presented an unrestricted bequest of $6,604 and several valuable platinum crucibles to the College. The crucibles are already in use in the chemistry department. This bequest is the 16th credited to the Class since the bequest and planning program was instituted.

Walter Edward Brown died on May 11, 1976, in Bound Brook, N.J., following an extended illness, according to word received from his executor. An in memoriam will appear in this or a later MAGAZINE.

Leon Baker Farley, bequest chairman, died at his home, 44 Bullough Park, Newtonville, Mass., on March 6, from pneumonia following two serious operations. As in memoriam will appear in this or a later MAGAZINE
