Phil Morse, who retired from the retail shoe business in Lowell three years ago, now owns and operates the Morse Museum in Warren, N.H. The museum was opened by his father in 1928, and the world curios which he collected 50 or more years ago are now antiques and have become more rare and consequently more valuable. Admission is free, and tourists, particularly those with children, pick it as a must stop in their tour of New England. Attendance averages about 20,000 per year. Phil and his father went to Kenya in 1927, stayed there about 10 months, and collected the big game animals which are now a part of the museum collection. Phil says they have many Dartmouth visitors, particularly because of their nearness to the Ravine Lodge. The Morses live next door to the museum. Visitors are always welcome, and Phil offers a personal guided tour.

A note from Pat Donnelly reports on a trip to the west coast and return to Florida, where he competes in the senior citizens' bowling league.

All is well with Merc Bowers, including his wife Lou and a fine family including two married grandchildren.

Fred Maguire, who retired as professor emeritus of journalism at Ohio State, and his wife Ruth recently made a trip to Ireland to visit favorite places. The Maguires have two sons, graduates of Dartmouth: Bob '5l, now professor of Slavic languages at Columbia, and Tom '5B, partner in a law firm in Toledo. The Maguires visit Myrtle Beach a couple of times a year.

The Bob McColloms are still living in Oyster Bay following Bob's retirement a year ago, with occasional trips to points north.

Jim Taylor is concentrating on nature and motor-racing photography and is resuming landscape painting. Last fall he covered the Canadian and U.S. Grands Prix, took bird pictures on Cape Cod and Hawk Mountain, and gathered material for paintings in upper New York State, Vermont, and New Hampshire.

John Loeb, Chairman of Loeb, Rhoades & Company, has retired as a director of Arlen Realty and Development Corporation.

From Beatie Adams comes a note regarding Ruth (Mrs. Larcom) Russ who is a member of the steering committee of the Society for the Fine Arts at the University of Alabama.

A detailed account of the travels of Jimmieand Helen Reid has been received. Their trip to New Zealand was marred by the fact that Jimmie became ill and was forced to have an operation while there. However, they have returned safely to Carefree, and at the last report, he has returned to practically full strength and is once more on the golf course. The Reids had lunch in San Francisco with Red and Clara Newell; the first time Jimmie had seen Red since our 15th reunion - when Red was red, not gray as now.

We regret to report the death of Al (Rusty)Bloom on March 2.

The Chitticks report a very interesting trip to South America. The group with which they traveled were excellent traveling companions (one fellow Dartmouth alumnus included). An outstanding event on their trip was landing at the airport at La Paz, Bolivia, at an elevation of 13,500 feet!

Plans are still in the works for the fall weekend party. We will give further details in our June column.
