Many thanks to all those who have written. Your letters and cards are much appreciated. Skip Sturman wrote to keep us up-to-date. On May 29 he and Marilyn Beckman (University of Vermont '73) were married in Amsterdam, N.Y. A number of '70s were able to be on hand to celebrate the joyous event, including BillShattuck (the best man), John Lewis, TomEnglish, and Dr. Harry Morgan. Skip is now into his third year as a counselor in the Career Services and Placement Center at the University of Rochester. As he puts it, "Staying on campus keeps me young." As I recall, other of our classmates in the education field have reached the same conclusion. Marilyn is employed at the Eastman School of Music as director of residence halls. Skip and Marilyn send a special greeting to all of their friends.

James Blackmon sent a "speed letter" from his new store, Country Style, in Woodstock, Vt. Jim received his M.B.A. from Tuck last June. While he was at school, his wife Carolee had been running their first store. Country Comfort, in Hanover. Now the enterprising pair are busier than ever. So, classmates vacationing in the North Country or returning to Hanover will be able to patronize one of their classmates' businesses.

Those on the other side of the country should look up Jack Rasor, now a vice president of Westcor, Inc., a Phoenix, Ariz., based shopping-center development company. Jack, you may recall, is a Phoenix native. He returned to Arizona after graduation and married Cay Cowie who had joined us all for our 1970 Winter Carnival. Jack and Cay have two children. A daughter, Liberty, is now four years old and a son, Brandon, is three. The "largest" member of this happy family is a Great Dane named Mac who tips the scales at close to 200 pounds. Jack mentioned that he sometimes sees Bill Shattuck and Jim Young, as well as former Sig Ep brothers, Mike Ward, Bob Beach, and Bob McNair, all members of the Class of '69. Classmates who are passing through Phoenix are invited to give Jack and Cay a call.

I also had a very lovely note from Kevin andPam Kennedy. The couple have settled in South Carolina. After graduation, Kevin and Pam traveled in Europe and then returned to the States for masters' degrees in sociology at Kent State University in Ohio. Kevin has made use of his graduate work, serving as a state probation/parole officer and working in the juvenile corrections field. Pam, meanwhile, worked on her Ph.D. and began a career in college teaching, first at Central Illinois and then at Coker College in South Carolina. Kevin and Pam are enjoying their new home state. Inspired by the tremendous interest in the area in historic preservation, the couple have bought their first house and their restoration of it has almost become a second occupation. Somehow they have also found time to develop hobbies — Kevin has become an accomplished cabinetmaker and Pam is into welding.

Equally busy are Marc and Jackie Jolicoeur. In addition to the thriving Pepsi business, Marc has found the time to take on a variety of additional responsibilities. He now serves on the board of directors of the Merchants National Bank in Manchester, N.H. and of the First Bank Mortgage Corp., which finances mortgage properties around the state. Marc's service to the community has also included a stint on the board of the Salvation Army and a great deal of work for the Easter Seal and United Way drives. He and his brother, our own Dennis Jolicoeur, were co-chairmen of a successful $1.5 million drive for the local Catholic Medical Center. Jackie, for her part, has also been spending much time in community projects. When Marc wrote, she had just finished organizing a Christmas party for the Friendship House, an orphanage in town. In addition, two lovely children of her own — Peter, now four, and Jennifer, who is two — keep her busy. Marc says the kids get along well and that Peter has assumed the role of his sister's tutor. Marc also reported that Dennis is in the process of starting several ventures on his own in addition to his continuing help with the family's various interests. He added that ChrisMarshall has become one of Manchester's leading young attorneys. Chris recently attained a milestone most of us will reach in the next year or so. Chris, it seems, is just a bit older and wiser than the rest of us. Marc noted that he and Dennis keep kidding him about it while they still have the chance.

A few brief notes to close — The Dartmouth Alumni Association of Eastern Massachusetts lists Steve Leary and Rick Shepherd on its board of directors. John Merriam is now pastor of the Congregational Church in Rupert, Vt. Pete Logan is practicing law in a downtown San Francisco firm and is enjoying it very much. Mike Swistak is a third-year resident at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. DixonTurner is in London, England, for the year serving as registrar at the Hospital for Sick Children there.
