The Stu Russells spent several days with us in March. We played one game of golf, but modesty prevents telling you the result. They will not be in Hanover this fall, as they are taking a trip to the West Coast.

We drove to Sun City Center and had lunch with Mary and Jim Davis and Lucille Towler '17. Mary is busy painting a picture which will be auctioned off for charity. They plan to come north this summer.

On the subject of artists, we are told Mrs.Don Lovejoy had a display of 15 or more of her paintings at the Bullstream Country Club. She is an excellent artist.

Eleanor McCrea has returned from a trip to Honolulu. She still runs the Vineyard and looks forward to a "most successful season."

A change in address indicates Dr. Bob Loring is now in Pompano Beach, Fla. HarriettBatchelder is back in Connecticut after spending the winter with her daughter. Max Norton writes that they are well after a tough winter. From all reports Marion Rand is leading a very busy social life.

An article in the Tuck School magazine tells that Bob Lewis has established a scholarship fund for Tuck students. Bob now makes his home in Aiken, S.C. Bet he misses the Hanover winters. Budd Welch's family gave him a birthday party in West Hartford, Ct., and while he was there he looked up Jim Jewett. He says Jim is well but has gained a little weight. He isn't the only one. I say this feelingly.

The Slim Huntoons have moved from Palm Springs, Calif., to New London, N.H. That's a switch. All of their relatives live in the East, and that caused them to make the move. I talked to Bob Paisley the other day, and he is about the same. He has some physical problems but has not lost his sense of humor. Dick Dudensing also has some problems, but you would never know it from the nice letter I received.

I talked to Jack Clark on New Year's Day. He says he and Betty live a quiet life on the Cape. He said Stan Treat called on them this past summer and that he looks younger every day. Perhaps that's what taking on a bride does for one. Ruth McCarter announces one of her granddaughters has been accepted at Dartmouth. Ruth lives in Quincy, Mass.

We have lost another of our classmates. AlanJones passed away on February 25. He was. a loyal Dartmouth man and will be missed. A more detailed account of his life will appear in the obituary section.
