You can imagine the horror when I (Bill Levin) was notified by high school soap opera super-fan Meg Sommerfeld that our own Jennifer Bransford was now a "little vixen" on ABC's daytime soap, General Hospital. After all, Jenny, a fellow freshman Gold Coaster, and I went to my very first Zeta Psi formal in the spring of 1987. Playing Carly Corinthos, Jennifer joined the cast for this replacement role in April 2005 and assumed the role of a character who, Web sites claim, has had three divorces, eight flings/affairs and three children through the years. I TIVO'd an episode of GHyesterday and was quite impressed by Jennifer's talent, range and villainous ways.

If Jennifer's character existed in real life, the person to track down her sultry illegalities might be Adam Bookbinder, although he focuses on much more sophisticated crimes. Adam is living in Newton, Massachusetts, with his wife, Dara (a doctor), and 2-year-old son. For the past five years he has been a U.S. assistant attorney in Boston, prosecuting white-collar crime. Since the beginning of this year he's been specifically focusing on computer crime and intellectual property crime. Adam scribes, "I'm having a lot of fun at work and with my family. But with a 2-year-old our adventure travel is pretty much limited to the safari ride at Disney World." Adam, please make sure to keep your hands inside the safari ride at all times!

Our newest classmate to move back to the Upper Valley is Jason Lichtenstein. Jason left his private equity M&A legal practice with Kirkland & Ellis in Chicago and moved his family (wife Mimi and daughters Allison (31/2) and Jessica (1 1/2) up to Etna, New Hampshire. He joined the White Mountains Insurance Group Ltd., a public company headquartered at 80 S. Main in Hanover. Jason reports, "So far, so good. It's amazing to be back up here—lots of memories of and emotions for our wonderful times here and some of the friends we have since lost." If you get through Hanover give Jason a shout-out for a cup of coffee and a hot fresh-baked cruller at Lous.

Dartmouth Medical School sources report that Dr. Ben Forbush and his wife, Dr. Nancy McNulty, moved back to the Upper Valley in November 2004. Having bought a farmhouse in Norwich, Ben is on staff as a general surgeon at the local VA hospital, where Nancy is also a radiologist. Ben, both newsletter editors look forward to hearing from you directly.

Finally, David Hosp has a debut novel, DarkHarbor, which is in bookstores and earning critical acclaim. It's a legal thriller set in the hallowed government halls and seedy mob back rooms of Boston. Luminaries of the literary world are comparing Dave to a young David Baldacci or John Grisham. Dave holds down a "day job" as a partner at the law firm of Goodwin, Proctor in Boston. He wrote the book primarily on his ferry commute from Cohasset, where he lives with his wife and two kids.

Thanks to the hard work of Kate Harrison, Maia Mulligan and the 1990 executive committee, the newly designed and launched class of 1990 Web site is up and running! Check out the site at www.dartmouth90.org—where you can pay class dues, find out about mini-reunions (like our Homecoming mini-reunion in Hanover in October 2005), listen to music from the Aires and its 1990 participants, look up the addresses and much, much more.

I pray that you are enjoying a fun-filled summer. If you get to Boston, let me know, the drinks will be on me.
