Greetings, classmates; your secretary presents the following blurbs as deserving of a wah-hoo- wah or a rouse (?) whichever you prefer.

Duncan Bond was appointed the director of Peacham School in Peacham, Vt. His appointment became effective July 1. Duncan has worked at the school for four years (he was a member of the original staff) and teaches social studies. He also directs the school's outdoor program and offers a course in money management. (That reminds me, where is my piggy bank?) Duncan lives in Peacham with his wife Gretchen, a teacher at the Danville Cooperative Kindergarten, and his two children. He is also a trustee of the Peacham library.

Bill Bahrenburg got a lot of ink recently regarding his appointment as president of Brooks, Harvey, and Company, the real estate financing and counseling subsidiary of Morgan Stanley and Company, the investment banking firm. To quote Bill, "It's almost like being involved in investment banking as it was many years ago. You're not only involved as an agent but as a principal taking greater risks." Bill joined Morgan Stanley in 1970, became a vice president in 1975, and was named a managing director in 1978. The article went on to say that Bill wears two hats with the firm. (The only thing 1 can figure out is that two hats have joined the three-piece suit as standard garb in the financial community.)

Talking about three-piece suits, let me deal with a guy who was never in a three-piece suit in his life, but may be in one now. Larry (Lance)Keeler, currently of Oslo, Norway, has been named a deputy representative in Manufacturers Hanover Trust's Scandinavian representative office. Before joining "the bank," Lance was an associate instructor of Germanic languages, a psuedo-instructor of skiing, and a full professor of mixology.

A wah-hoo-wah in full battle regalia for Bob Parkinson. Commander Bob took over in July as commanding officer of a helicopter antisubmarine squadron on board U.S.S. KittyHawk. (That's the boat you see tied up at the pumping station at Wilder Dam.)

Edward Stern had an article, "Are You Ready to Handle a Heart Attack in Your Office" (?), published in the May 1979 AmericanBar Association Journal. Ed, who is a litigation attorney in Philadelphia, Pa., is co-ordinating cardio-pulmonary resuscitation training for the Philadelphia Bar Association and for the federal district courts of the eastern district of Pennsylvania. Ed and his wife Jeni spent several days of their recent New England vacation in Hanover.

That's it for this month. Next month I will describe one classmate's personal crusade to curb taxation and will find out from DuncanBond whether Peacham is pronounced Peckham or Peach-em. Bye.
