Among this month's news items is word that Al Gordon wed Pamela Anderson LaFleur on August 3 at the Cathedral of the Pines in Rindge, N.H. Joe Cosco was in attendance as best man. Al, who received a certificate of educational administration from Bristol University in England and a master's degree in counseling from Columbia University, is employed in the guidance department at Salem High School in Salem, N.H. Following a wedding trip to Nova Scotia, the Gordons are living in Londonderry, N.H.
John Eaton married Elizabeth House Ferry last September. Elizabeth, a graduate of the Kent School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, received her doctorate in psychology from American University in Washington, D.C. She is presently practicing in Houston, Tex., in affiliation with Children's Mental Health Service and the Texas Research Institute for Mental Sciences. John is treasurer of E-S Pacific Corporation in San Francisco, which develops and manages industrial and commercial projects in China.
Deneys Purcell married Patricia Gray Bell last September on Chappaquiddick Island, Mass. Patricia, who was graduated from Brown University and received a law degree from Boston University School of Law, is associated with the Providence, R.I., law firm of Tillinghast, Collins, and Graham. Deneys received his master's degree in architecture from the Harvard University School of Design and is associated with William Warner, architects and planners in Exeter, R.I.
Joe and Dotty Cecere are the proud parents of a baby daughter, Margaret Mary, their second child, born August 29. Mark and Barb Bradley have adopted a baby daughter, Margaret Jo. Born January 20 in Pusan, Korea, little Meg joined the Bradley household on June 22. According to her button-popping dad, she's "fat and sassy and a real joy." Mark continues in his pursuit of that elusive Ph.D. at the University of Minnesota. His dissertation topic is "an absolutely first-rate play called him by e.e. cummings, which some may vaguely remember from those great days of '70 and '71."
Jonathan Wolston is one of 169 physicians receiving postgraduate training at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Jon, a graduate of Northwestern Medical School in Evanston, Ill., completed his residency in psychiatry at Northwestern Medical Center. Jon's wife Nancy is a registered nurse.
William Barry is a doctor of veterinary medicine in Brookfield, Vt. An avid horseman, Bill graduated in 1977 from veterinary college at the University of Georgia and, following his graduation, worked as a veterinarian on the staff of the Barre Animal Hospital in Barre, Vt. Specializing in the treatment of horses, cows, sheep, pigs, goats, and other large animals, Bill plans to set up complete herd health programs, tailoring them to individual diary farms, to increase farm profits by solving nutrition and health problems.
John E. Shanahan has recently joined the United States Trust Company of New York City as an assistant treasurer. John is a specialized lending officer in the U.S. Trust Company's corporate banking division. After graduating from Dartmouth, he received his master's of business administration degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Business in 1976. John resides with his wife and son in Scarsdale, N.Y.
Finally, David Reingold has joined the faculty of Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vt., as an assistant professor of chemistry. One of 26 new faculty members who joined the college faculty on September 10, David received his Ph.D. from the University of Oregon.
