Some time ago Dick Griggs sent me a feature article on Pete Easter from the Times-Dispatch of Charlottesville, Va. Peter runs Easter Associates Inc., a management firm that caters to the service needs of trade and professional groups in Virginia such as the Virginia Association of Broadcasters and the Masonry Contractors Association of Virginia. On behalf of such clients, Pete's firm will lobby at the state capitol, publish and mail newsletters, handle correspondence, and launch membership and advertising campaigns. The company will also handle financial affairs for its clients and arrange for conferences and conventions. Pete acts as executive director for five such associations and provides administrative leadership. Although his firm is only two years old, it has increased the membership rosters of each of its five client associations by more than 50 per cent.
