For the first time in many years I've had the opportunity to interview prospective Dartmouth students. They are an exceptionally intelligent, involved, and delightful group. If the few I have spoken to are any indication, the Class of 1983 will be another outstanding group.

Hugh Chapin, our bequest chairman, has added to an already busy schedule by being elected a corporator of the Mount Auburn Hospital and as a member of the Lexington Police Manual review committee.
From Steve Severson, secretary of '74, comes word that James W. Vanderbeek was elected a director of the United Bank of Denver. Jim is vice president and regional manager of AMOCO Production Co.
