The most interesting news stories for this month involve wives. All were gleaned by reading between the lines and at the bottoms of paragraphs. Our children are growing up and leaving the nest so their mothers appear to be seeking new challenges. Suzy Bergstrom owns and operates the Tortuga Club in the Cayman Islands while Eric devotes full time to his job as director of tourism for the islands. Margot Neuberger is a coach, judge, and leading competitor in the California gymnastics world. Husband Hank administers all corporately owned real estate for Security Pacific National Bank in San Francisco.

Nancy Goss is earning her Masters degree in English Linguistics at Clark U., Worcester, Mass. Myrna Aronson is a school psychologist in Northboro, Mass., while husband Marty teaches and practices law in Boston. Jo Ann Frisch teaches science on a half-day basis at a Jewish Day School in Baltimore. I'm sure every wife is doing something which challenges and involves them and hope that others will let me know about it. Judging from the reaction to this column, the wives read it at least as much as their husbands do.

Those of us who are involved in the world of agriculture realize the tremendous strength of the American Farm Bureau. I think it is a very significant honor for Dave Flitner to have been elected to the board of directors of this organization. Dave is a farmer and rancher near Greybull, Wyoming. He has been involved in the affairs of the Farm Bureau for many years. past year at the Diagnostic Clinic. George announces he's settled down with family and all. Wife Ligia and son George IV round out the crew.

Remember Tom Boudreau? The flash of the Hanover Plain in the late '50s disappeared in 62, surfaced briefly in '72 by preparing some statistical data for our 10th, and has arisen again in '76. Tom was recently named vice president of William M. Mercer, the largest employee benefit consulting organization in the world (a division of Marsh and McLennan Incorporated). Tom manages the pension depart- ment of the Boston office and is considered an expert on data processing and employeeemployer communications (A talent no doubt developed in his D.D.A days) He joined the company in 1969 and has been responsible for regional communications and computer operations of the pension department. On the side Tom in on the board of trustees of the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Boston.

The Class received an interesting letter from Ted Judson, who describes himself as a noninterested, non-contributing '62 who is not concerned. at least for the time being, in maintaining his contacts with Dartmouth. Ted is living in India and plans to spend the next few years designing and constructing a building and studing the life and work of Avatar Maher Baba. Somehow I always become a bit envious of someone who is able to live the way he feels. Ted went on to offer a positive suggestion for a class gift in 1977, involving the establishment of a program aimed at teaching building skills, maintenance of appliances, auto repair, gardening, etc., all subjects which Ted, at least, feels should be included in a college education.

John Clarke reminds us that its time once again to remember the Big D and encourages us all to get our contributions in early.

Keep in touch.
