We have lost two classmates since our last. Jack Bowie died on December 19 at his home in Potomac, Md., and Gordon Cheney succumbed to cancer on February 26 at the Maine Medical Center in Portland. We have offered the condolences of the Class to both families. It does seem that an inordinate number of men have left our class rolls, good men all, and most before their usefulness to this world had been completed. We are all the poorer.

On a more positive note, two articles having to do with sking have come to our attention. One chronicles the fact that Steve Bradley was one of seven to be elected to the Colorado Ski Hall of Fame, with induction this past March 19. Steve has served for 27 years as the executive director of Winter Park and is currently vice president of planning. The other article features Janie Olivers' reminiscenses of her skiing days - from the earliest days in Hanover through her competitive years on the high school racing team. It should be noted that her illustrious husband Howie, not mentioned in the article, was an Olympic teammate of Steve Bradley. Both, if memory serves, were on the Nordic end of the competition.

Early in the year Cornie and Janet Miller took a short trip to Florida, which included a dinner with Wells and Betty Bates in Naples and a similar outing with Larry and Jane Vulte on Casey Key.

Bob Loughry writes that Marianne had a "repeat" hernia repair and commented that she needs a zipper. At any rate, the prognostication is that the action dims their chances of making the June reunion. But we hope she'll be back on her feet and raring to hit the Hanover Plain by June 11th.

We have a copy of the church service program of the Central Congregational Church in Attleboro Falls, Mass., where the Reverend Stephen Bachelder (sometimes known as Fran) serves. It reads like a lively parish.

Looking just like a wily silver fox with a devastating serve and a cunning drop-shot is Curt Anderson in an ad for his Westchester bank, which proudly points out where Curt's Mechtronics Corporation of Stamford, Ct., makers of ingenious point-of-purchase displays, does its banking.
