Alumni Fund time - let's everyone contribute. Certainly our Class can do much better than our current record indicates. We always have come through in the past. All it takes is for each one of us to remember how much Dartmouth has meant to us over the years and then act accordingly. Don't forget someone else's contribution helped make our Dartmouth education possible.

Received word that Duncan MacFarlan was elected president of south central operations for the Prudential Insurance Company of America. Duncan will be based in Jacksonville, Fla. Walter Peterson recently gave the dedication speech for the New Townsend Middle School in New Hampshire. The accompanying news article indicated that in addition to the many offices and positions that Walter currently holds, he was recently appointed to the regional panel for the Lighthouse Fellows program.

Another busy classmate is E. Grant Gesser. Grant has been elected president of the American Institute of Constructors, which is a national society of professional construction practitioners and educators. A fellow of the institute, he is president of the Charles V. Maescher Company, Cincinnati. Some other activities include past president of the Associated Contractors of Ohio, member of the national board of directors of the Associated General Contractors, director of the University Club of Cincinnati, director of the General Protestant Orphan's home and the Cincinnati Association of the Blind.

His leadership in construction education has led to the establishment and national recognition of the American Council for Construction Education, the only officially recognized college-level accrediting agency for a degree in construction curricula.

Grant is married to the former Betty Maescher. They have three sons, Grant, Peter, and John, and they all live in Cincinnati.

That's all until next month, but if you haven't already done so, please mail your contribution to the Alumni Fund today.
