By the time this reaches you, the results of the 1980 football season will be in the record books, but as of this writing, there appears to be cause for a bit of concern. The team looked super in the Penn romp, but the following week they were just plain licked by a bigger and better U.N.H. team, and they followed that by losing to Holy .Cross. We'll see what develops. The football season has brought some new players to the Hanover scene, and two bright spots are Dutch and Van Schaefer. They purchased a house at Eastman early this summer and, as a result, we see much more of them. Charlie Sturz and his wife usually come up from Woodstock, and when you add the Hanover regulars, '42 puts up a pretty decent show.

Speaking of shows, we attended a couple of weddings during the past summer and they were boomers. The first was Huntley and Ginia Allison's son, Steve '74, to Kristin White, and we were pleased to see Frank and Pat Bartlett. The second wedding was a non-Dartmouth affair, and I chatted with Army Stambaugh there. Array has recently joined the Board of Overseers of the Hanover Inn, so he gets up here a bit more often.

As the Long Island people know, but it may remain a secret to the rest of the continental U.S.A., Bob Encherman has been named the area chairman for the Long Island region in the Campaign for Dartmouth. Go to it, Bob!

In the event that you are in New York and not feeling completely up to snuff, you might consider just a whisper of general or vascular surgery, and the place to go is 1212 Fifth Avenue, where Joe Wilder has recently opened his own office.
