On October 23-24, there will be a class minireunion in Hanover for Dartmouth Night and the Cornell game. There will be a class parade Friday night. Saturday's events feature a pregame keg at Dave Bradley's office, a post-game party at Ralph Manuel's home, and a class dinner at the Sheraton. We all remember Bob Blackman, who now coaches Cornell's team. Bill Cutcliffe is coordinating all events for the class. The executive committee is meeting Friday and Saturday, beginning serious reunion planning for 1983.

Just after the last MAGAZINE deadline in the spring, Sue Bahrenburg sent a note to thank Bill's Dartmouth classmates who, through their contributions to the William B. Bahrenburg Memorial Fund and their remembering letters, gave Sue and her three boys "that added strength to go on. We are forever grateful for the continued 'aloha' from all of you and the Dartmouth Club of Hawaii." At the time she wrote, her oldest son was ranked number two in a class of 412 at the Punahau School. "We all cherish the memories of the 20th reunion.'

Well-known economist and expert in foreign exchange operations Scott Pardee recently became an executive vice president of Discount Corporation, a New York dealer in government securities and money market instruments. Scott will be one of the five senior managers of the corporation. He resigned from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where he was in charge of foreign exchange operations. He had been with the Fed for nearly 20 years. The New York Fed conducts foreign exchange operations for the Federal Reserve System, the United States Treasury, and foreign central banks. Scott has been a good economist ever since he was an undergraduate.

Hal Feuchter has been appointed vice president by Crocker Bank of San Francisco. He manages the bank's computer system department, which does data processing for the trust and fiduciary division. Hal joined Crocker Bank in 1976, having previously been associated with other corporations in the San Francisco area. He has an M.B.A. as well as his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth, and he spent three years in the U.S. Army before locating in San Francisco.

Bill Hartley of U.S. News and WorldReport is going to edit the 25th reunion yearbook. He is also joining the class executive committee. Bill is looking for help with the yearbook. Call (212) 246-3366 if you are interested.

Walt Vail writes to express appreciation to all the class agents who helped the class raise $151,000 in the Alumni Fund campaign. This was $30,000 more than last year, and we also showed an increase in participation that put us slightly ahead of the overall College average.

Harry Dodds, a trustee of Dartmouth College and an officer of the Ford Foundation, was featured in an issue of The Dartmouth last spring. Harry chairs the Trustee Committee on Investor Responsibility, a subject about which he was extensively interviewed. Somehow Harry managed to get The D to run two pictures of him, one recent one and one which makes him look about 22. As always, his comments were well-thought-out and interesting.

Wayne Hamilton has an appealing job. He 's a geologist who did research and taught at Ohio State University and Cleveland State University. He joined the National Park Service in 1974 and now is physical scientist at Yellowstone National Park. His travels have taken him to Mexico and Alaska. He has also done environmental impact studies and mining impact studies in Alaska and public relations for the New National Monument. He has been in touch with Larry Lyons in Flagstaff, Ariz., Barry Corbett in Denver, and Sam Adams '59 in Boulder. The Hamilton family includes his wife and two sons, who are "a good outfit to be associated with." Wayne spends part of his time as a Scoutmaster.

Last month my daughter Amy and I addressed 80 envelopes to classmates requesting information. Some of the items in this column resulted. If you get an envelope with a green sheet in it, please send it back. Several class secretaries have been driven to despair because they had nothing to write about.

John Graf is planning our 25th reunion. He reports that he still finds time to play some tennis, ski when there is snow, serve on a variety of charitable boards in his community, support his wife's career as a retailer with a specialty paper and stationery store, and occasionally practice law. Their oldest son is a junior at the University of Vermont, their second son is a junior at the Derryfield School, and their daughter is in grade school. In addition to all that, John is dreaming and planning for the events of June 1983. He needs some help. For example, he needs volunteers to work on food, athletics, finance, and related activities. He is also looking for a classmate in the garment industry in regard to our class outfit. Finally, he is looking for a slogan for the reunion and wants your creative ideas.
