Congratulations to Chris Meigher who has been made corporate circulation director of Time, Inc., in charge of Time, Life, Fortune,Sports Illustrated, Money, People, and Discover magazines and Time Distribution Services, Inc. Chris had been president of Time Distribution Services since 1979. He joined Time, Inc. in 1968 and has been assistant to Time's advertising director and circulation director of Fortune, Sports Illustrated, and Time.

Bart and Susan Palmer are settled in Atlanta where he is associate professor of English at Georgia State University, having taught there for the past eight years following receipt of a Ph.D. in medieval studies from Yale. Bart contrasts Georgia State with the College as "a downtown commuter university with an older student body (average age 27) and a commitment to educating every applicant with a high school diploma." He has found his teaching experience varied and rewarding, having taught more than 20 different courses, ranging from freshman composition to graduate seminars in the history of the English language. For the past five years, he has also served as district enrollment director for Dartmouth in Georgia and finds the alumni activity in the area to be brisk and interesting. Susan, a journalist by training, has held a variety of jobs including host for a radio talk show, alumni director for Ogelthorpe University, Writer for TV news, and marketing director for a local architectural firm. Currently she is doing free-lance public relations.

Next year the Palmers plan to spend a year at Columbia University Susan in pursuit of a master's in journalism, Bart working on another Ph.D., this time in film studies! They were particularly happy to announce the birth of son Colin last November 21.
