You may have noticed the new address above. By the time you read this, my wife and I will be settled into new digs in Miami. After enduring several long Midwestern winters, your faithful scribe is heading south. I'll be practicing corporate and international law with the firm of Shutts and Bowen while Kathleen pursues a master's in education at the University of Miami. Classmates vacationing in the area or just passing through (except via shady tramp steamers or unlighted, low-level, herb-laden aircraft) are welcome to check in.

Continuing with this month's resort theme, class entrepreneur and former naturalist Torrey Brooks reports that he is living in "the wine country north of San Francisco." Torrey is running a lodge and sharing a condo nearby with' a Stanford classmate. Recent lodge guests have included such luminaries as Richard Gere, Matt Dillon, Charlton Heston, and Secretary of the Interior James Watt. Jorrey's company is busy planning several more motels in the nothern California area. He's been doing marketing studies, etc. for the new properties as well as minding his day-to-day duties at the lodge.

Work keeps Torrey quite busy, but he's had a chance to travel some on his motorcycle and begin flying lessons. His current goal is to meet more of his neighbors in the Napa Valley and to "learn more about the valley's mystical but pleasant ambience."

The mailbag also contains a nice long letter from Randy Alford and his wife Debi. They're headed for Cardiff, Wales, where Debi will be using her new Fulbright Grant to study ceramics at the South Glamogan Institute of Higher Education. While Debi goes through the 13-month master's program, Randy will be working on a collection of (he hopes) publishable fiction and poetry.

Randy also passed on some news of other 76s He saw Karen and Matt Neary in New Jersey around Christmas time. Linda and BillKabokovich also were at Debi's recent graduation from Alfred University. Bill's a partner in a Baltimore law firm, while Linda just earned her B.S. while working full-time as a nurse at Johns Hopkins. Randy invites classmates to write to him and his wife at: c/o The South Glamogan Institute of Higher Education, Division of Design, Howard Gardens, Cardiff, CF21SP Wales.

Additional ramblings: Jeff Hillebrand reports he had to endure one five-day work-week while playing lots of "business golf" on Chicago-area links this summer. He and his wife Nini are reportedly expecting their second child late next spring (Omen II?).... Class president and former bouncer at the My Apartment lounge in Raleigh, N.C., Jay Josselyn, and his family, have relocated to the Springfield, Mass., area. . . . Tom Parnon has moved to a new position with a computer products company close to his Darien, Conn., estate. . . . Wendy Simila and exPrincetonian Walt Snickenberger will have been married (on November 9) by the time you read this. . .

That does it for this month. The Mayflower van is at the door and the Dartmouth memorabilia are all packed up so until next time, keep those cards and letters coming in. And happy trails.
