John Kornet received a citation from the Dartmouth Alumni Fund at the fund week- end in October for outstanding performance as our head class agent during the past 12 months. This award reflects high credit on John, all the class agents, and, of course, all '67s who pledged and followed through with contributions. Well done!

Knox Johnstone was kind enough to respond to one of my mailed news solicitations. He and Judith Anne and children Mattie, Sadie, and Emmie have moved from Lebanon, Ohio, to Boulder, Colo. (1414 Patton Drive, 80303). To save your faithful secretary from the ignominy of a blank page, Knox sent along the following capsule history:

"After a number of years working in the Outward Bound. Schools, I gave up the wilderness for the industrial jungle, and spent five years with Cincinnati Milacron's industrial robot division. Recently a group of us started a company in Denver called Robot Defense Systems applying basic robot technology to military/security robots. The computer meets the all-terrain vehicle. ..."

David Brown has been appointed vice president, communications, for Champion International Corporation, a forest products firm in Stamford, Conn. His new responsibilities include all of the company's corporate and marketing communica- tions and media rela- tions activities. David joined Champion in 1978 as director of cre- ative services. Prior to joining Champion, he had represented the company, among oth- ers, on a consulting basis from 1972 to 1978, during which time he worked as a free-lance writer and consultant. From 1968 to 1971 Da- vid worked for a public relations firm, was a partner in a design firm, and taught at the secondary school level. He earned a master's degree from Trinity College in 1968 and in 1981 he attended the Tuck Executive Program at Dartmouth. He serves as president and a director of the American Institute of Graphic Arts in New York City and as a trustee of the Hartman Theatre in Stamford. He is the au- thor of several books and articles on design communications, including the 1981, 1982, and 1983 editions of AIGA Graphic DesignU.S.A.

An October 9 article in the Boston Globe featured Enertech Corporation, one of the nation's leading windmill manufacturers, and its founder, vice president, and chief spokesman, Robert Sherwin. The company, based just across the Connecticut River from Hanover in Norwich, Vt., recently won a major contract to build a "wind farm" to supply nearly 6,000 kilowatts of power to Pacific Gas and Electric Company, a huge California utility which has pioneered in the alternative energy field.

That's it for this month. Best wishes to all of you for the year-end holidays and the New Year. KeeD those cards and letters coming!
