Your class executive board met at Jack Curley's offices in New York City last October 12 to discuss a number of matters of general interest to the class. Besides Jack, Bill Bogardus, Bob Burka, Don Klein, John Kornet, Craig Ordway, Sam Ostrow, Clem Page, Bill Yaggy, and Jeff Zimmerman attended.
One of the major items on the agenda was a recap of the class's tremendous performance on the 1984 Alumni Fund campaign. Once again, warm congratulations to all are in order.
John Manaras advises that the second annual Class of 1967 Winter Squash Tournament is scheduled for January 12, 1985, in Boston. Squash players, mark your calendars accordingly and plan to attend. Daniel B. Gould has obtained his third full medical board certification in anesthesia. A change in scientific interest brought him into his new field four years ago, and he completed a residency at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Now he serves as chairman of the department of anesthesia at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore.
Ford von Reyn writes that he's preparing for another New Hampshire winter and hoping for a better ski season than last year's. Ford sat out last year's season to recover from surgery on a cruciate ligament torn in a hospital benefit basketball game "we raised $40 for the employee fund, and I raised $3,000 in hospital revenues." He also spent two weeks in the Soviet Union last summer as a delegate to a meeting of U.S. and Soviet physicians discussing the prevention of nuclear war. He reports that Janet is teaching and that Leah, nine, and Adam, seven, "are busy from dawn until dusk."
A1 Chidester has been named to the new post of president of Beacon Exploration Corporation, a Denver-based subsidiary of Eastern Gas and Fuel Associates of Boston. Al joined the company, which engages in oil and gas exploration and production, as executive vice president in 1981.
