I received a nice letter from James Wulpi, who informs us that he will be 94 years old this summer, but that this does not stop him from playing golf "weekly and sometimes daily." He plays nine holes and walks all the way.

Had a nice letter from Phyllis Hammond, daughter of Gordon Sleeper, who passed away a year ago. She writes that her mother Martha still maintains her home in Newport, Vt., but now lives with her daughter. She is still active and helps her daughter around the house. When Gordon moved to Vermont ten years ago he ran the only tree nursery in the area.

A wonderful letter was received from Ruth Little, widow of Lay Little, with all sorts of news from far and wide. First, let me bring you up to date about Ruth. She has sold her house in Cornish, N.H., and has moved across the street into a smaller one. Her address and phone number remain the same. She has nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren on the Little side and six gandchildren no greats, as yet on her side. She has just spent two wonderful months in Johannesburg, South Africa, with her daughter and family. While there she spent six days in Kruger Park, took the Blue Train to Capetown, visited Kimberly Diamond Mine (the Big Hole), and saw the gold mine museum with a trip underground. [Ed. note: She did not mention receiving any souvenirs.] Traveling was long and tedious and she will now take short cruises from now on. Should any of you travel to Hanover, come warm weather, she hopes that you will give her a call and pay her a visit.

Ruth also passed on some other news as follows: Mrs. Trott, widow of Ray Trott, is enjoying her Maine house all one floor and lots of sun and plants. Mrs. Beals, widow of Geoff Beals, reports temperatures of 84 degrees on her porch in Florida, but would like to see snow. Mrs. Sisson, widow of Rufe Sisson, is enjoying her winterized Michigan home. Mrs. "Buck, widow of Ellsworth Buck, took another round-the-world cruise her last. She has a new address: Meadow Lakes, Apartment 48 106, Highstown, N.J. 08520. Mrs. Sargent, widow of Gorham Sargent, reports eight grandchildren and ten greats! Mrs. Corliss, widow of Louis Corliss, was glad to hear from Ruth; Dartmouth is so special to her.

Since returning from South Africa, Ruth Little has spent a month in Washington, but will soon be back in Cornish. Our thanks to her for all the wonderful news.

Spring is trying to break through up here in New Hampshire, but on March 27 we received another six inches of snow. It will go fast, but March is one of those months you take it as it comes. Remember?

Keep in touch, and until next time . .
