Late March found our whole family skiing in Taos, N.M. What a great surprise to run into Dave and Peggy Cost and their sons Dave '84 and Charlie, who will be a freshman at Williams. At Taos everybody spends each morning in ski school learning to ski better. The four parents wound up in the same class. Our instructor was super and really got us cruising through the 60 inches of powder that fell during the week. Dave and I agreed that we've come a long way since the golf course rope tow. Dave and Peggy live in Wayzata, Minn.; he is a branch manager for Northwestern National Bank of Minneapolis.

Bob Simpson took his wife Anne on a month-long business trip to the Orient. You will recall the newsletter's report of an earlier trip. Once again, the highlight was Bangkok. Ed Rose arranged a dinner along with Prasong and Lek Sukhum and other members of the Dartmouth community there. Ed teaches English at a major university and continues to work with refugees from Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia: Prasong is the director and manager of the Thai Oil Refinery Company and is president of the local Dartmouth Club. His son Pravit is a freshman.
