Few of you have seen the new class of 1936 logo/letterhead. "CLASS OF 1936 DARTMOUTH COLLEGE" runs in bold green letters across the top of the page, and the Dartmouth College emblem is on the right. Down the left margin are listed the class officers, with addresses and telephone numbers.

Robert O. Fernald, president: When not busy in Hanover affairs or sponsoring open houses and Sunday brunches from the spacious Fernald retreat high in the hills of Etna, Bob carries another title, in Florida, as one of the head honchos with the West Coast Florida Dartmouth College Alumni Association in the Naples and Punto Gordo area.

MacGregor H. Hill, secretary: Though still somewhat of a nomad between Mashpee and Wellesley, he is fast getting to the point that when he crosses over the Bourne Bridge he will just pull in the bridge behind him and enjoy the idyllic luxury of life along the quiet Mashpee River.

Philip D. McInnis, treasurer: If you haven't yet paid your class dues, he will be after you with a tenacity rivaling that of his predecessor.

Paul L. Guibord, bequest chairman and awards chairman: Paul thought that by retreating to the. North Carolina hills of Asheville and Hendersonville he would get away from the rigors of a successful life insurance career, but neither the class nor the College would let him hibernate completely. All of you have without a doubt received the tempting literature urging participation in the College bequest programs.

Arthur B. Toan Jr., Alumni Council representative: A newly-created post designed to keep the class of '36 more closely in touch with College activities.

Frank K. Kappler, newsletter editor: Frank also is just emerging from crates, barrels, and boxes, the remnant result of an in-house relocation, but he is still able to crank out pages and pages of '36-oriented serendipitous news gems.

Norbert Hofman Jr., head agent: He also is sporting a new address, but without fanfare. You all will be hearing from him directly, so dig in, brethren.

Barry C. Sullivan, social chairman: A newly-created post designed to discourage rocking chair lethargy and to keep '36ers in the merry whirl of things whenever Dartmouth people gather.

Phyllis C. England, ladies' activity chairman, and Beverly P. Chase, memorial committee chairman: Both positions were, established to encourage the '36 ladies to participate in all class-related endeavors. Phyll knows more about most of you than the Alumni Records Office.

Albert L. Gidney, general chairman, 50th reunion: He is already forming plans to make June 1986 a date in history that will upstage the turn of the century.

Robert T. Keeler, reunion giving chairman: His sights are set high, but are not unattainable. For the class and the College, he wants our 50th to be more than an outstanding ledger entry on the College financial records, but also an enduring expression of thanks, loyalty, and inspiration.

In addition, there are some class members elected at the last reunion to serve on the executive committee but who for the lack of space have not been included on the letterhead: Raymond D. Builter, Frank M. Curtis,David L. Fox, M.S. "Pete" Fitzherbert, DeanR. Gidney (recently deceased), Edward W.Higbee, Milton S. Johnston, Paul B. Lynch,William W. Macurda, Boyce P. Price, E.James Stephens, John S. Sullivan, Ann J.Sykes, and John W. Weisman.

If we had included the executive committee on the letterhead, as several other classes have, done, the space left for correspondence would have been limited to hello, thanks, and goodbye! Few of you have written me, so few of you have had the chance to see this new logo. Let's correct that situation.

F.K.K. wrote in his February "Tithe" about 1936 participation in the golden anniversary of Bunny Bertram's ('31) pioneer ski tow on Gilbert's Hill in Woodstock, Vt. Near this report is a photo of the stalwarts, looking little different than they did in January 1934, except perhaps weightwise. Thank you, MorriePaine and Doris Crangle.
