By the time you receive this column, summer breezes will be blowing in most parts of this country. But when "old man winter" returns next year, think of Mike Neary, who was recently promoted to vice president and general manager of Caneel Bay in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Caneel Bay is part of Rockresorts, Inc., the resort management company of Laurence S. Rockefeller. Mike has now been with Rockresorts since 1976 and most recently was director of sales at the company's New York corporate headquarters. With the Caneel Bay appointment, Mike marks his return to the Caribbean, where he was previously executive assistant manager of Rockresorts' Little Dix Bay Hotel and Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbor in the British Virgin Islands. Neary began his Rockresorts career at the Woodstock Inn and Resort in Vermont as director of sales and also held the positions of resident manager and manager of the Woodstock Country Club and Suicide Six Ski Center.

Kudos are also due to Lee Rosengard, who recently became a partner in the Philadelphia law firm of Stradley, Ronon, Stevens, and Young.

Congratulations of a slightly different but no less important sort are due to Paul Ungar. In May Paul was married to Karyn Prestridge, whom Paul describes as a "Louisiana belle with a taste for tabasco, jalapeno peppers, and other assorted hot stuff." After practicing entertainment law with a firm in Manhattan, Paul has now moved on to a new position as manager of business affairs, Radio City Music Hall Productions, Inc. Last fall, Billboard magazine (a music industry trade paper) published his article "Mediating the Greed Game," which was about the entertainment industry.

Finally, Mike Ultee and his wife, Pat, recently announced the Valentine's Day delivery of their son, Jeffrey. Mike noted that "our little boy was about three weeks late arriving, so in that respect he takes after his dad."

Mike is currently working as a research chemist at Carter-Wallace, Inc., and Pat will soon be returning to her position as ah information chemist at Exxon.

That's it for this month. Send some news my way when you have a chance and, in the meantime, please remember the Alumni Fund. See you next month.
