My thanks to the wonderful person who gave me this portable typewriter for Valentine's Day. My old portable did not correct, and this new gadget has made writing this column a breeze. My thanks as well to Bill Cater, who has given me a wealth of information for this column as the result of a telethon he sponsored to raise money for our college. At least you will be hearing about classmates who live outside of Atlanta.

Tommy Johnson, president of the Dartmouth Club of Georgia, reports that the club had a very successful program on March 6, 1986, featuring Professor James Cox, who spoke on Southern literature. Atlanta has been a mecca of Dartmouth people, including Dick Everett '41, Hud King '43, and Thad King '73, and has a very active alumni club. It is great to be in a city where the alumni from a college one thousand miles away remain so closely aligned.
