George Von Kapff in April visited DonDavis at his Hill and Dale Farm and found Don was recovering nicely from a serious operation. His good wife Irene is giving him excellent care. He wants to be remembered to all in 1918.

Thelma Slabaugh loves living in Kansas City. Her daughter Judy and family are near. Twice a year she visits daughter Thelma in Vermont. She now has six great-grandchildren.
Doris Davis (George's widow) thanks 1918 for its constant thoughts of its widows. Recently she came across the dance order for the 1918 Commencement Ball. She ends with "Glory to Dartmouth no shanties, please!"
