Good news: we're here. Bad news: we don't have much. No news: we're gonna try anyhow.

PUBLISHERS: Recently gone to the lunch-at-home group, Bill Cross has decided that he can create deja vu for The Rotten Core of the Tuck contingent in our rival publication. That's for the Tuck Today slick version of the AluMag. Lotsa luck, Bill, but I did send you a post card about what I am doing. Now, it is up to you to share your info here. So the ex-prez of Reader's Digest wants to hear from you (at Box 182, Somers, NY 10589) as your scribe does at the address above.

"Skip" Sutton didn't spend enough time with us in Hanover but has spent 39 years as publisher of CEE (Contractors ElectricalEquipment) magazine. So now he's sold off his important trade publication to MacMillan Publishing and intends to devote his attention to his golf game and bass fishing. Skip and Patricia have three children, Edward and Cathleen who went to New England College, and Sally, an Endicott '72. How about adding a mini-reunion to your agenda, Skip?

PROGENY: Skip and "E" Fauver were happy to stop paying tuitions when Mary Lee graduated from Ohio Wesleyan a year ago and was employed in Boston. Eldest, Betsy '77, was on the committee to search for the new prez at the College. Chip '79 is a bond trader at Morgan Guaranty in New York. Ellen, Parsons School of Design '83, was married to Eric Reimer on March 15, 1986. Scott was University of Vermont '84. That's it, Skip?

A first grandchild is Renfrew McDowell Brighton Jr., born last January 25. Father is "Mac" who graduated from U Penn in '78 and works with his dad, Rennie Brighton at Diesel Equipment Superintendent and Business Journals Inc. in Norwalk, Conn. Maybe this item belonged under the previous heading, but you'll have to play 'em where they lie. Mac told us he has two sisters and that Rennie is into flying and sailing in the aerobatics. Okay.

Don and Ina Brown have their second second-generation offspring, Donald Olney Dougherty, now a year old. The mother is Cathy '83 married to Brooks Dougherty '82, a self-employed systems programmer catering to the needs of bankers in Cambridge, Mass. Don's other daughters are Linda, who went to Denison and is now in Fayetteville, Ark., and Diana, who's in Portland after Kalamazoo. But for pickles, you still contact Don at Brown Brokerage in Winnetka.

POSTCESSOR: "Sandy" McCulloch will be put out to pasture as trustee (and chairman) next June when his ten-year tenure expires. A successor will have big shoes to fill.

PRESENT SEASON: Please note "mini" opportunities at Harvard October 17 and versus the Eli on Hallowe'en in Hanover. See ya there?

VOX, POPS & HOPKS: Our man in Hanover . . . one of our men there . . . sent a copy of VOX that included a story declaring: "Trees are a basic element of the campus's beauty. Their continued health is a matter of active concern for the members of 1950. For 20 years it has made a uniqueand growing—contribution to the College's 'pride of place.' " The Campus Tree program began in May 1967, thanks to NewcEldredge and Steve Flemer.

In a later issue of VOX the inaugural address of new prexy Freedman included the remark that "Dartmouth will be strengthened by continuing to follow truth wherever it may lead." Let's hope so.

The Hopkins Bulletin isn't an official publication from the Plain but talks about censorship, harassment, and deception in Hanover. What's the truth on those charges?

Finally, Common Sense commented that Dave McLaughlin is "a human being whose love of and dedication to the College have never been questioned and deserves far more thanks than he has been given."

Thanks, David!
