The October column promised news from class officers a promise now partially fulfilled. It is worrisome not to have received news of Hope and Al Frey. For years Al has not only filled the thankless job of treasurer but has also been a steady source of news of classmates. We hope the long strain of his illness (Parkinson's) has not now overwhelmed the Freys.

When our dear president Sherm Adams left us last fall, v.p. Horace "Dal" Dalrymple automatically became president. From Dai's daughter-in-law Priscilla comes a communication that deserves careful consideration. She writes that Dal, who is not in the best of health, dictated the following thought to her: "A group of our class of 1920 discussed the board of officers for the class recently. One suggestion stood out above the others in reference to the fact that Sherman Adams had been our president for a long time, and it was thought that for someone else to assume the title for a short time would almost be an insult. Dal, especially, thought that since Sherm was our last president, we should let the matter stand: that Sherm was the last class president." Any further thoughts on this that can be shared will be most welcome.

A really upbeat letter from Alice and LeoUngar can only be highlighted: "Since my golf days are over, I drive the cart for Alice—but do not dare correct her drives ... A new pacemaker—I needed a new model

I attend the Dartmouth Club in Omaha with all the young members and I still enjoy being with them." More about Leo's "Dartmouth Family" in our next!
