Slow month at the mailbox, but sometimes one facsimile is all I need. Hopefully, that will be the case with this column, as it is based on the arrival of just one technological miracle. The facts on the fax are as follows:
Okie Bill Cameron and Laura Love were married in Oklahoma City, Okla., on September 2 in front of 750 of Bill's closest friends. The wedding weekend was a full one, including a couple of rounds of golf and a couple of rounds of drinks.
Joining in on the Cameron celebration were Peter Jones, Ray Murphy, Tom Shanahan Tom Lane, Darrell Frear, George Records '56, John Henry III '61, Roger Phillips '79, and Allan Siegel '81. Many of the guests had jetted in to the plains from faraway locations and some were going further away after the ceremony. Peter Jones was one of the latter, headed for Saudi Arabia to continue his work as a geologist. The Boston contingent included Murph, Shan, and Lambsie while Big Al was up from Hotlanta. Both Murph and Lambsie are attorneys in Beantown and Lambsie and wife Paula are expecting their first child.
This just in ... a Spotlight News team has opened an investigation into the drinking water at Kappa Sigma fraternity (now Chi Gamma Epsilon). It seems that members of Sig Nation are procreating at a rate double the national average. Steve and JenniferStone are the leaders with a pair of sons in their Massachusetts home, but the rest of the boys have been busy as well. Class President Mike Donoghue and wife Ceci are the proud New York City parents of Mike Jr. (Mac).
Daughters are recent additions to the families of Eric and Wendy Miller and Bill andTerry Kinnard. Congratulations to Jeff andMary Bechler, proud parents of Christopher, who was born over the summer. And Rob andNancy Olsson appear to be next on the list of Kappa sig parents, expecting later this year.
