Maybe it was early Spring energy. Maybe it was boredom with the rains in May. Most likely, it was frustration with my nagging. In the months of April and May, an astounding nine letters from classmates found their way to me. I was genuinely moved. Each of you is to be commended, and if you don't see it here, don't worry, I'll get to it as soon as I can.

Without realizing it, Larissa and JenniferTavlor, sorority sisters, moved to S.F. within a month of each other and live five blocks from each other. Jennifer is working at Grey Advertising and plans to attend law school this fall. Bill Davis is at Stanford, getting a master's in geology; he lives with Pat Rutty, who's studying geophysics. Oddly, they live in married student housing. Eben Frankenburg, who lived with Bill last fall, is now in Houston, working for Amoco "and making more money than he knows what to do with," according: to Larissa.

I could finish the column with the rest of Larissa's letter, but let's save some for later and move on to a nice note from JulieClyma, who's living in Silver Spring, Md., and working in sales for Scott Paper Company. Her territory runs from Baltimore to Ricnmond, so she stays busy, dealing with restaurants, caterers, hospitals, and convenience stores. Julie reports that TownleySlack is teaching in Arlington, Va., and the two were planning to attend the Dartmouth Princeton women's lacrosse game. I happen to know it was snowed out initially, but I'd bet the rent they made it to the makeup date.

About now, Rich Howe is starting a new job at Xerox in Rochester, N.Y. Sam mentioned this, but I can't help add how I knew to begin with Rich dropped by to see me recently, as his girfriend, Kathy Burge '89, is a fellow reporter of mine at the Concord Monitor (just voted the 1990 Newspaper of the Year in New England, by the way). Rich has been living off the fat of the land for the last few months, but now he's putting that degree to work.

We're almost out of space here, so how about a preview of coming attractions? In future issues, more tidbits from the above letters, PLUS epistles from Rick Watson,Todd Zywicki, Kristin Zimmerman,John Replogle, and Sonja Kufitinec. Anticipate them with glee as you rub in the aloe lotion these summer months.
