Bud Hall comes through with the good news that the class of 1943 won the Green Derby! The numbers were great, with more money than last year and a 10 percent increase in participation to 75.5 percent.

Bud wants to express his thanks to BobField's leadership group ($1,000 or more), which included Fritz Geller and BingDonaldson as assistants, and CharlieDonovan's work in memorial gilts. Also thanks to Mike Thurston, Ed Lider, Bob Barnum,Hud King, Jim Oppenheimer, and all the class agents. Special thanks to Pres Moore, the telethon operator.

Bud noted that several donations included a note against the administration, but a desire to support the class and Dartmouth's future.

Bob Freeberg starts off the F's with a nice recap from bis Army days in the signal corps from '42-'46 in various European regions. He returned to the Boston area, where he married Shirley Azoff (U. Mass '44), and they in turn have two happily married children and five grandchildren, who range from a 20-year-old at Syracuse to a five-month-old grandson.

Bob was in the office supply business for 40 years and the last 18 he was president of Federal Office Products in Boston. After retirement in '87 he has been splitting his time between Boynton, Fla., and Newton, Mass. He is also working on his 17 handicap.

Chuck Feeney checks in saying there is no excitement in San Francisco, but he was in Hanover in May and attended the Wednesday lunch group with Bodie Mosenthol. Also in attendance were Bob Liming, FredStockwell, and Ed Lider, which made a good time for all.

Later, in New York, he ran into GeorgeMunroe on Park Avenue and had dinner with George arid Eleanor that night. No mention of who picked up the check.

Chuck and Margaret will be at the fall mini which takes place a few weeks from publication of this issue. Grab the phone and plan to be there.

No entries yet for our contest as to who has attended the most reunions. In order to make this more attractive we will double the usual contest award. (Please don't contact Stockwell or Kast on this.)

Anyway, send in the number of five-year reunions you have attended and the number of minis, and we'll add a half a point if you intend to be at the 50th.

Bob Gray is working diligently to put our 50th Reunion Book together. The publication date is March '93, so get your autobiographies, nostalgia, photos, etc., into Bob ASAP, P.O. Box 505, New London, NH 03257.

I regret to report the death of EugeneWiley on May 22 at his home in Oradell, N.J.
