76 I'm still catching up on news left me by my predecessor, so some of this may be quite old. But old news is better than no news ... I'll start with current news, forwarded to Martha Hennessey by JulieMiller Shepherd. Following our reunion Julie spent some time with Marion Mustard at her home in Chatham, Mass. Marion was unable to attend as she is bedridden with multiple sclerosis, but she thanks her classmates for their warm sentiments and souvenirs sent from the reunion.Julie reports that she and Marion were able to watch the Dartmouth Flashbacks video courtesy of Sara Hoagland Hunter. Marion was visited earlier in June by Susan Walter, who is living and working in Montpelier, Vt, and by Corinne Lebalme and Joie Hyde after the reunion.

John Hagelin was tie subject of an in-depth profile in the February edition of the Fairfield (Iowa) Source. John graduated from Dartmouth in three years, received his Ph.D. in physics from Harvard and has since established himself as a leader in die field of "New Physics." As best as I can understand it, the "new physicists" seek the answers to the "ultimate" questions, and John Hagelin has been recognized for his work in defining a Theory of Everything—"a single theory explaining how the world we see around us emerges from an underlying unifying field." Following work at Europe's largest subatomic physics laboratory in Geneva and later at Stanford, he has chaired the physics department at Maharishi International University in Fairfield, lowa, since 1984.

Dave Lidstone wrote in April that for the first time he had something worth reporting to the Class Notes ... his June 1991 marriage to Susan Laughlin in Pittsfield, Mass. Dave has been employed by General Electric in various locations since graduating from Cornell Law School in 1979; currently he is vice president-general counsel of GE Capital Computer Leasing in San Francisco. Dartmouth was well represented at Dave's wedding, from the classes of'34 to '90. In attendance: Kevin GillHs, Susan Lidstone Theiss '84, Mark Dingley '75, Sheldon Mirowitz, Chris Cummings '78, Peter Judson '78, Preston Kelsey '90 John Tremblay '55, Chuck Dana '77, Amy Lidstone '90, Bob Newman '34, Ken Sewall '53, and Steve Shmanske. Dave reports that he and Steve play golf on occasion, and that he "even witnessed Steve knocking his own tooth out while pulling his driver out of his golf bag on the 18th hole on one outing ... and he made par on the hole."

Tom Scorci, who teaches at North field Mount Hermon School, received a fellowship to the Japan Study Tour Program. According to the press release, Tom was to travel in Japan from June 29 through July 21 to get first-hand exposure to Japanese society and culture. Tom has taught English, Native American studies, anthropology, and Italian at North field Mount Hermon, and he currently acts as advisor to NMH's Native American students. How about some news from your trip, Tom?

Bradley Peck, a business attorney in San Diego, was recently made a partner in the firm of Cooley Godward Castro Huddleson & Tatum, which specializes in representing emerging growth companies and venture capitalists throughout California. Entrepreneurial classmates who are looking for counsel on starting a business, venture capital financings, and the like, keep Brad in mind!

That's not only all the news that's fit to print, that's all the news! Please take the time to jot down a note about yourself and send it along.
