Thanks to Deke Jackson I I received an update on our honorary classmate Thad Seymour. After retiring as president of Rollins College he decided to return to teaching English literature. He added to his schedule the role of master learner by taking freshman courses in the area in which he was the weakest, math and science. He was quoted as saying "I just wanted to see if there is still a tune left in the old violin."
Notes from fall mini-reunion: Luke Soule and Marty were headed for Maui and Kauai in February. Alike McGean is still putting his talents to work for others as he is head of the United Way of the Upper Valley. Stu Sayre is very amazed at the number of diapers needed to service his three grandchildren under three years of age. How soon we forget.
Jay Rosenfeld is still working but is finding time to enjoy life as he is entertaining at a Club Med his five children with three spouses and seven grandchildren. Then, to recover from all of this, he and Barbara planned to go skiing in Colorado in March.
Jeff Farnum is still involved in the insurance business but took time off to go to England and France. Evie continues to sell Boston real estate, though somewhat slower than in previous years. Burt Proom retired but continues to use his expertise in the nuclear insurance field as a consultant to Lloyds of London and another large American firm. BobMuzenberg and Donna are going to France to take a barge trip. Since Donna has been learning to speak French, they should have little trouble getting around as she practices her new knowledge. Spike Smith is still selling educational products and hopes to improve his distribution methods to try to keep up with tougher economic times.
All is well here in Florida, but I sure would like some help from some of you. Please send news of a classmate.
