Football recruiting seems excellent, and this is the first year freshmen can play.

1927 is most grateful to Tom Gillespie for his work as head agent. He has earned his retirement. We are glad to tell you that Gordon Colby has accepted the position of 1927's Alumni Fund head agent. Treat him generously when you hear from him in the future. BobLong and wife Franchot were off to Canada in July. She was exercising a new knee and getting ready to have the other done. What a girl. A great blue heron visits our pond now and then, must be three and a half feet tall. It stalks around the edge picking up a small fish now and then and then takes off sounding like a 747. Two kingfishers follow him diving in and further reducing the fingerlings. Lolly's garden and flowers were all over and did beautifully. That's what's doing in Hanover and 40 miles south.
