Thanks to Paul Woodberry, I received the Louis Ruckeyser invitation to subscribe to a newsletter which would feature the "World's Foremost Financial Authorities." One of these listed was MikeMetz, chief investment strategist for Oppen Recmer. Nice to know that Mike is classified in such company.

Discovered in a call to Scott Whipple that he has joined the growing number of retirees. He's still far from becoming non-active, though, as he is still playing hockey and skied with his son last winter in Colorado. Tried to get him to attend the fall mini, but he said he had made a commitment to give a speech to the WW II Air Cadet Organization at the time. Scott did say he would try to make the June 1994 45th.

Speaking of the 45 th, the planning is well underway. The reunion dates are June 13-16 (Monday through Thursday morning). This reunion is special since we will be reuning with the classes of 1948 and 1950. Here is your chance to not only see your classmates but many others who were in school with you—friends, fraternity brothers, and teammates.

This combination may never occur again in your lifetime, so start planning a trip to Hanover in June of 1994.

The events will include joint meetings with the other classes, including a dance with a 20-plus-piece band guaranteed to reproduce the Big Band sound of the forties and fifties. As usual you can count on a golf tournament, tennis tournament, a picnic, and a Great Issuestype panel.

As you have noted from our permanent address, Leigh and I spend winter in Florida but return north to our place on Lake Winnepesauke in June. We can attest to the fact that Juneis a beautiful month in New Hampshire. (Remember the great weather we had for graduation in June of 1949?) A trip to the alma mater at this time of year should be a super way to spend some of your summer vacation.

Why don't we all contact as many local classmates as we can and encourage participation in the 45th so that this will be an outstanding gathering? Make play yourself!

You will receive several Elan newsletters on this subject with reply cards to let the reunion committee know whether you'll attend. Additional details on events will be included as well. All the committee members hope this will be the biggest gathering to date.

Hope you don't get overstuffed on Thanksgiving, but do enjoy football, family, and turkey anyway.
