Paul has 20 years of experience in marketing products and services. He has been director of marketing at both World Savings and Loan and Charles Schwab and Co., as well as group product manager and vice president of Bank of America. Paul was thoroughly prepared for all these responsibilities during his undergraduate years, with just a few minor finishing touches provided at the Harvard Graduate School of Business.

John Larsen has been appointed realestate director of development at Melville Realty Company. Melville Realty is a subsidiary of Melville Corporation, which brings you CVS, Marshalls, Meldisco, Kay-Bee, and Wilson's stores in malls across the land.

John holds a master's in public policy from Trinity College and is a charter member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, a member of the American Planning Association, and past president of the latter organization's Connecticut chapter. His professional background includes planning and site design, demographic and economic research, environmental assessment, and marketing and lease negotiation. He served most recently as vice president of Konover Development Corp., a major shopping center developer. Benefiting especially from all these new shopping opportunities are John's wife and two children, who provide regular consumer reports over the dinner table in Glastonbury, Conn.

Rob, we're really proud of you, and only wish the ad had explained what you will actually be doing.

Howard's interest in music is lifelong, and he has performed with a variety of vocal groups over the years. In the late eighties he decided to pursue cantorial work full time by entering a master's program at the Hebrew Union-Jewish Institute of Religion in New York. As part of his training Howard spent a

In this capacity he will implement the Chamber's strategic marketing plan and develop materials to support the Chamber's mission. This means he toils to convince businesses that earthquakes and fog aren't all that big a deal, while praying against hope that the California legislature will finally ease up with some regulatory relief.

year in Israel where he was a member of the chorus of the Great Synagogue in Jerusalem.

Howard and his wife arrived in Phoenix in the middle of July. The daunting adjustment to the Valley's heat has been tempered by the friendliness of the new congregation and Howard's excitement at having his first full time cantorial position at such an active temple.

This month's report represents a veritable cornucopia of achievements, and it's always great to share in the successes of our classmates. But even if notice of your activities has yet to find its way into my hands, I wish you real bounty in each of your lives as we all pause for a time of thanksgiving, reflection, and celebration. Happy holidays everyone!
