Mark Waterhouse had several news items stemming from die Volunteer Leadership Conference recently held in Hanover.

First, we were recipients of the Class of 1938 Award for the largest dollar-total given in a reunion year. We also received the Joshua A. Davis Award for the greatest dollar improvement by a class. We can all be proud of these awards, with special recognition to Line Eldridge, Mark Water- house, and all the members of the reunion giv- ing committee for spearheading the efforts which made diese awards possible. In addi- tion to Mark, John Engelman, Jon Page, BillRich, and Jim Tonkovich attended the week- end conference.

Mark informed me that Chuck Wood- worth has accepted an appointment as class head agent. Welcome aboard, Chuck.

When Joe Grasso was sworn in as supe- rior court judge for die commonwealdi of Massachusetts by Governor William Weld, Joe’s former roommate Parker Beverage was among those present at the ceremony.

Pam and Tony Dambrava and Fred Wolf were among those in attendance at the Bal- timore-area kickoff for the Will to Excel cam- paign. Tonks reported that Tony and Pam looked well tanned, having recently returned from some exotic locale.

Finally, the Dartmouth Alumni Magazine is planning a special issue in April on “Dart- mouth’s gifts to the world.” This issue will concentrate on gifts Dartmouth and its peo- ple have made to society at large. Ifyou know of conmbutions made by yourself or classmates which should be featured in the issue, please send me or the editors any pertinent data. The magazine is looking for input before Christ- mas, if possible.

This column is short because I am short on news. Please send me newsworthy items about yourself or our classmates.
