"Let's talk some sense to the American people. Let's tell them the truth, that there are no gains without pains." Ross Perot? NO. Adlai E. Stevenson in his acceptance speech as a democratic nominee, 1952 convention.

Well, gang, I have made a review of my column since it began after reunion. Here are the statistics: more than 20 percent of the class has been mentioned in the column, one person has been referred to four times (yikes!), four people have been discussed three times each, a few have been alluded to twice, and the rest have all had their name in lights in a single fantastic issue. Obviously we need to pick up the pace a bit. Reticence is not an admirable trait. You can help by sending me information on yourself or the following: Carolyn Abbot (are you still working at Greenwich Associates and living in Stamford, Conn.?); Bruce Acker (are you still at the North West School and living in Seattle? How is your wife, Elaine?); Mike Ackerman (are you still at Morgan Stanley and living in New York City?); DavidAcus (no information at all); Dave Addis (do you still work at Polan and Yaski? What is Polan and Yaski?); Karen Hannaway Albright (do you still work at Wiggin and Dana? What is Wiggin and Dana?); and John Alden (is J. Alden Company your own company? What line of business? How do you like living in Santa Monica?). Well, that should get some response...

Cheers to Karen Voss, who wrote from Tokyo, Japan. Karen was married in East Hampton, N.Y., last September to "the most wonderful man in the world," Alexander Gruzen, and "no, he did not go to Dartmouth!" However, he is a rocket scientist from MIT. The two were introduced by Eleni Daskalakis Henkel '85 when Karen lived in N.Y.C. and worked for D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles, an advertising firm. The couple moved to Japan, where Karen works as Guest Relations Director at the Hotel Okura, Tokyo. As she notes, it is a "people watcher's dream" Warren and Annette, Henry K, and even Lee lacocca. Karen also kindly apprised us on the following classmates. Anne Desmond will complete her M.B.A. at Columbia in May. Laura Lindner graduated from Kellogg business school and now lives in Westport, Conn., where she works for Marketing Corp of America. Harvard Law School had the honor of Kate Nicholson's attendance. Kate now clerks for a judge in Concord, N.H. Also recently walking down the aisle was GaryGreene, who married Carolyn Anderson in October. Gary lives in New Jersey and works for the law firm LeBoeuf Lamb Leiby & MacBae, in Manhattan.
