Those of you who are still living in the Upper Valley, or anyplace where your television set picks up the CBS affiliate out of Burlington, Vt., might Rave noticed a change insports personalities on your screen. Our famous '91 sportscaster, Brett Haber, is no longer appearing on the evening or nightly news at 23 minutes past the hour. At least, not in Vermont. Brett recently relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio, where he was hired as a sports reporter for WCPO (that's Channel 9 for those of you in the vicinity). Not to worry, the gap in northern New England is being filled by other '91s who are moving into (and out of) the Vermont/New Hampshire area. Dave O'Brien bicycled through Middlebury as he began a year-long bike tour of the country, through which he is attempting to promote community service among college students. He has been dubbed the "Outreach Peddler," a fitting name as he is working with the Campus Outreach Opportunity League. Dave's plan is to ride to California and back, stopping at more than 600 colleges and universities to encourage and support volunteer efforts on the part of students throughout the United States.

On the home front, back at Dartmouth, Kelly Blasius is working as the assistant coach for the women's soccer team. She is also coaching basketball at Orford High School. Nichole Hager has been keeping pretty busy with all those early-decision applications from prospective '97s (can you believe it?!), but sounds like she is enjoying her position as assistant director of Admissions.

Linnea Alvord Pantelick wrote from London, where she and her husband, Steve (T'90), are residing. According to Linnea, the economic situation, otherwise known as "Eurogloom/Eurodoom," is not much brighter than it is here, and even more discouraging is the fact that the pubs are not what they're cracked up to be. She is working in mobile telecommunications for a small company called First European Communications, but she hopes to find a "real job" soon. She also passed along some news of the other '91s who attended her wedding: Jill Kimmel is working at a market research firm in McLean, Va., and is still playing rugby. Jill Russell works for Davis Polk in. New York City, and "vacations" in Italy (the quotes are because Linnea didn't specify if this means she went on one vacation, or if this is a regular thing for Jill). Sue Makniak is at Temple Law, while LukeRichbourg, back from Italy, is at Cornell Law School. Sam Cabot has his own business, Cutco knives, in Maine.

Zia Daniell is finishing up her stay in Jerusalem. She's been keeping busy editing a book for her boss and writing for the Environmental Policy Review. She ran into JosieSchimmel there; apparently both of them were pretty surprised at this random meeting, because both sent letters expressing that they never would have expected to see each other there. Josie is enrolled in an Ulpan (an intense Hebrew training session Israel's Rassias method), and is presently living on Kibbutz Hazorea. She registered for the next Ulpan program, and is very excited about it, as it is on a Kibbutz on the beach! I don't know about you, but the beach is sounding pretty good to me right about now.
