We mourn the loss of Connie Goss in early September. She was full of good feeling, a leader, and very loyal to the class and the College. We send deep condolences to Lane. She was a gay participant at many class occasions, always engaging and bright. She contributed so much to the life ofVassar. Larry Leavitt and Lane visited her there from College. Larry says Connie met Lane at his 25th birthday—a most pleasant memory.
Pete Blodgett was recently in the hospital for heart problems, briefly. Reports he felt fine afterwards. Sounded chipper. Cheered that Louise was arriving the 13 th, they planned to hunt woodcock in New Brunswick after the Harvard game, always a prize sport for both. Pete is gung-ho for Reunion. He reports DonHunt is not very well. We send Barbara and him our best wishes. Get well for Harvard!
Scoof enjoyed camping again, for the seventh year, on Putney Mountain, Vt., with son Jeff '65, Jeffs remarkable wife, Nancy, her remarkable brother Jonathan, and grandsons Joel and Christopher, both '90. All went well. We shall return.
Celebrated my September birthday—six of the family took me canoeing on the Concord and Assabet, and to dinner at the Colonial Inn. Sumptuous.
