It's a pleasure to announce that Randy Aires is our new head class agent. ClarkGriffiths and Randy have talked, and Randy is determined that he can tackle this major task for the class. It will be up to all of us to give him our support and our involvement. Jack Cramer is owed the tremendous thanks of the class for his seven years of outstanding effort and for our Green Derby wins. Jack will be a very hard act to follow, but I'm sure Randy will be up to the task.

Kathy Reilly Gross 'BS sent me fun news about her dad Dick Reilly, who we all know as the platform-tennis-court contractor to the world. Kathy and her brother are now runing the company, while Dick has moved to Montana to the RJR Ranch which, guess what, features platform tennis. Kathy reports that dad is living his dream in the West playing wrangler, rancher, and innkeeper. Several classmates have visited, including JohnMeier, Chuck Schroeder, Peter Carothers,Bill Springer, and Charlie Schneider. The RJR Ranch is in Eureka, Mont., (406) 889-3395.

District Attorney Philip Rollins continues his re-election campaign, pointing out three recent innovations: the beginning of a sixmember jury system, the establishment of a third district court, and the implementation of a juvenile court. His campaign opponent is scrambling to make a race of it.

Dr. Arthur Pierce has completed seven years as superintendent of schools in Burbank, Calif., with 3 5,000 students. He has announced that he is returning to Maine to head up a 2,000-student district, and, I should think, start to regain some sanity. Art spent a good deal of his prior career in Maine and other parts of the Northeast. His three children live in New England, and he and his wife keep a summer house on the Isle of Springs in the Boothbay region.

Skip Louis, president of the class of'sB, sent me a nice note from Chicago saying, "Dart- mouth graduates of all ages have enjoyed the music of Eric Kunzel at Rovinia for many years. He has become a summer institution. Unlike the Cubs, he always is a winner." With the note came a great newspaper article from the Chicago Tribune describing Eric's "boisterous energy."

Congratulations to Howie Howland for the very successful clambake he staged for the class at a mini-reunion last summer. Among the more than 30 participants were Howie Howland, Hanny Mason, Frank Guider,John Hobbie, Clark Griffiths, LarrieCalvert, Dave Cook, Grover Farrish, BobMacdonald, Monk Bancroft, Jack Cramer,Charlie White, George Johnston, DanGoggin, Dave Smith and Adam Block. More information and pictures in Tom Schwarz's newsletter.

Bleak November is on us, and thoughts turn to skiing. I spent the last days of October in Austria skiing the glaciers with some hot masters racers. I hope as I write this to come back both in one piece and psyched for a good season of skiing.

Please send your news. I look forward to hearing from you all.
